Since I was retired and had time to thoroughly research disposals, I bought the only one that is different and better than the rest. Even though it is made by ISE, the workings are patented commercial technology originating from a Hobart design that was bought by Viking. It is superior because the cutting impellers are cast, in a fixed position and double grind the waste into much finer particles that are less likely to clog drain lines. If it saves a single plumbers visit the extra cost for the best is well worth it.

This Viking disposal replaced my Hobart Kitchenaid disposal that died 30 years to the month of purchase. I hope this Viking will last as long as my Kitchenaid. I chose Viking because of the reputation for quality. So far, it works as good as my Kitchenaid.

This Viking are the Best By Far.These are made like they used to be.The disposals now days are throw away and can't grind much of anything.This disposer has CAST grind ring and Cast grind table.This is like they made them in the 70s.Also it has undercutters which grinds it once more before it goes down the drain.I have put corn husks,steak bones,paper,I even put some of my private papers that I don't want in the garbage down it.Never once has it clogged or jammed on anything.All the other disposers on the market grind so coarse they stop up my lines all the time and I have tried all of them out there.The G.e. are loud and click like crazy and the Kitchenaid is now a rebaged I.s.e...The funny thing about it is Viking bought the rights of this disposer from Whirlpool its the Old-school Kitchenaid/Hobart design.The Hammers are fixed so none of that clicking noise you hear from all the others.
