Universal 7 Device Remote Control - R7

The R7 universal and learning remote control sends IR (infrared) commands to all home theater A/V equipment and can replace up to 7 different remote controls.
With MacroPower, you can program the R7 to turn up to 7 components ON or OFF with the press of one button. The SimpleSound feature gives you total volume control over all the components in your system, even those that do not have their own built-in volume control, such as TiVo, DVD and VCR. An easy to follow DVD Guide that can help you setup your new R7 remote control is also included.

Can't really beat this universal remote for the price. Easy to program, controls anything. But sometimes it seems to lose its programming for a button or two for no reason...

Finally an inexpensive programmable remote that will operate all my stuff. This unit had built in codes for all my things including my OLD Kenwood stereo that I run the television sound thru. The buttons it didn't have, I programmed unused buttons to take their place.

Very Good, but no Info button for DISH

The R-7 is a great remote that was very straight forward to setup except that the 122 code listed for a DISH DVR only turned it off, every other function had to be learned from the DISH remote, even the 'On' function. Could not get the R7 Info button to learn that function from the DISH remote [...]

I needed a remote to replace the five remotes I was using daily for one setup: HDTV, TiVo, DVD, VCR, and HD Cable Box. The problem I had was my HDTV did not have a 'code' for other universal remotes to use, nor did scrolling through all available codes in the remotes 'find' the TV code. However, with this remote, I was able to have it 'learn' from the TV's remote, solving that problem. Also, this remote allows you to have component control over something like 'volume' punched through so that no matter which component you are actually 'on', the volume will work. This thing rocks!
