I really enjoy the space saver feature that mounting under cabinet does. It looks great in my new stainless steel kitchen. Not to noisy at all.Easy to understand controls. Only problem I'm having is with the door mechnism. It does not shut off when I close the door after use. I have to push the door opening several times to get the unit to shut off. The light remains on when I close the door, and I can hear that the unit is still running. I problem need a service call on the unit.

The whole purpose of buying the Spacemaker was to mount it and get it off the countertop, otherwise I could have bought a cheaper microwave that wasn't built to be mounted. It needs to be made clearer that the mounting kit is a separate purchase and additional cost. Otherwise it works like it should.

Product had mounting holes on top like my old unit.This was not mentioned.Bought mounting kit and did not need it.9 dollars to return[$] item.

this mircowave is a replacement for my 8 year old mircowave. i am very happy with this one it works geart for my needs. it is nice looking and i am very happy with this mircowave. the gentelman i talk to was so help full. i could not believe how much he help me with size for my build in mircowave and it fits great. thanks to him i save money. i will say if you ever need something call them they will be more then willing to help. great service and fast shipping and very nice person to talk with. that will take the time to talk and listen and get the right product for you. he was a great help. thank you so very much. joy

I had one of these from 1997 and it was great! This replacement is a huge disappointment. GE has ruined the design, cheapened the product with too much plastic, and by compromising power has compromised functionality.

I had the prior version of this model for 10 years and when it quit I replaced with this version. Very cheaply built compared to the last one. I was limited to what I could buy due to the available space for a microwave. If I had more space I wouldn't buy this version or maybe any GE.

This microwave fits well under a kitchen cabinet and looks great. It is much more powerful than the old one I had. You don't have to punch a lot of buttons and it is easy to clean. I love it!

I bought it for a small cabin and I really haven't used it much. It doesn't seem noisy.

Needed a perfectly dimensioned unit to replace my 15 year old Spacemaker. This fit perfectly.

I had a slightly higher-end Spacemaker Sensor that was built in under cabinet that I needed to replace. I never really used the sensor settings, as I found they tended to over- or under-heat the food. Since I use it primarily for reheating leftovers, I tend to use just the express cook and power level buttons, this cheaper model seemed to fit the bill and works and looks just like the old one. It is a bit less substantial than the Sensor model I had, but a lot cheaper than the current Sensor models, and I'm fine with that trade off. It also has a revolving tray which my old sensor model didn't have (it drove me nuts that it didn't, given it's high-end status at the time). Primary requirement was that it fit the existing built-in space. And it did - but only just!! I think GE's advertised dimensions are wrong. They are spec'd as identical to my old model, and they basically are, but this one has bumps that protude from the underside to house the screw-in tabletop feet. Those bumps weren't on the old model and made this a very tight squeeze in the existing space, with no clearance unlike the old model. On the plus side, my old model had a major bump down in the inside ceiling, which does not exist in this model, so there is more height inside this model. I would not buy this model if I didn't need something small to fit the existing space. I think it functions just OK. I am sure there are better makes and models out there. But if you need to replace an old GE model like I did, this works just fine.

Perfect for doing what microwave ovens do best. Works well and lasts! Been married for 29 years and lived in 7 different houses in which we remodeled both large and small kitchens. We have always installed this particular microwave oven because it is a little work horse. Our last GE Space saver lasted 10 years and it was used 4-5 times per day. Glad GE is still making this oven and hope they will continue. Highly recommended.

The lever on the control panel that is used to open the oven door is not placed well. Over time, it loosens and destroys the functionality of the control panel (buttons stop working). A door handle on the door itself is a more structurally sound arrangement.

Under cabinet mount fits screw holes and uses bracket from similar model 15 years old. If we get that much service from this new model, we will be very happy. Price was $30 less than local stores.

I bought this unit to replace / duplicate a 20 year old unit that was mounted under one of my kitchen cabinets which has a restricted space it had to fit into. The new unit fit ok into the old space BUT unlike the old unit, the new unit has a bare metal (galvaized)bottom plate with factory stamped bulges in it for legs and mechanical clearance purposes. Since i have this unit up-under my cabinet, this bare metal(bottom)plate with all of it's bulges pertrudes down BELOW the site line of the nice black front door frame and stands out like a sore thumb!!It's so bad, i am now looking to improvise a "black skirt" gismo (that should have accompanied the "under cabinet kit")to hang under the bottom front area in order to mask these ugly / pertuding bulges that obviously would not be visible if the unit were setting on the counter top in lieu of up under the cabinet.

This is a perfect replacement for the one that broke - you had the right model with the right dimensions. And the newer model has features that I wanted - an on/off turntable mode since the unit now has a turntable.

The unit[...] is fabulous. I would definitelt buy from ABT again, and recommend them to family and friends.

FIT PERFECT INTO 15 YEAR OLD TRIM KIT. GE KEPT ALL SPECS THE SAME WHICH MADE INSTALLATION EASY.

This is our fourth GE Spacemaker in 7 years. The reason we keep buying it is because it is the only Hanging Microwave available that has the small depth. Otherwise we would change to another brand.

We could not be more pleased with our new GE White Spacemaker II Microwave Oven (Model: JEM25WH). It fits beautifully in a shelf over our stove where conventional over-the-stove microwaves are not possible because of their height. It's long enough to accommodate an oblong casserole dish, and the turntable works great as well for most other dishes. We love it.

Its quick cooking, easy to use, looks great under my cabinet. I would recomend, it to anyone for home use.

We purchased this item as a replacement for an older Spacemaker II. It is a more functional model that meets our requirements and doesn't have all the bells and whistles that we don't need. It looks great on the counter, we use it every day to make hot cereals, heat leftovers, steam veggies, heat milk for lattes, and defrost frozen items. It's easy to use, with a clear display, and easy to clean. A great product at a great price!

My old GE Spacemaker Microwave finally died after 20 years of use. I couldn't believe how little GE has changed this new model, but that is a good thing. They kept what worked and made small tweaks to improve here and there. Slightly more power, better controls and a rotating turntable. If this version last half as long as the last one I will be happy. Easy to install, works great. [...] And they had the best price. Doesn't get any better than that. I will shop here again.

I owned the previous model of this microwave for 17 years. This model is quieter and lighter, has a turntable and more control features, and costs about the same. The biggest selling point for me is the size. It fits perfectly on a shelf above my range. It is compact. It accommodates a 13 x 9 dish perfectly. It is very quiet. If this one lasts 17 years, I'll be very happy.

Great replacement item. It was a little bigger than the 18 year old we replaced, but I was able to make it fit.

This item was a perfect replacment for the unit that had broken. It mounted under the cupboard exactly with no need ot modify the mounting holes already in place.

I replaced an older version of this GE microwave that had died last year. It needed to fit into the same space and it does, perfectly. All we had to do was slide it into place and plug it in. The new model has more features, in particular, a rotating glass base, that the old one didn't have.

I bought this to replace a very similar 10-year-old GE model.

I use a microwave primarily to defrost or occasionally to reheat or to partially precook. Because it sits on a shelf, I need something with narrow depth but reasonable capacity. This one replaces essentially the same model that began to have button trouble after, about, six years. It has a variety of quick-to-set options. It's decent looking. It does what I need it to do.

We need to fit our microwave into a small cabinet and this fits perfectly and works very well.

Seems as good as lots of other microwaves on the market. We bought this to replace a 20 year old failed GE Spacemaker II because we had it hanging under cabinets in the kitchen and wanted to use the existing kit and holes. The bolt holes at the top of microwave take the same diameter bolts but they are spaced further apart in width (not depth) than in the original. Fortunately we could use the holes at one end as is and had enough access to redrill 1 of the other pair of holes. The replacement is exactly the same depth as the original, otherwise we would have had to send it back.

Pros: Heats evenly and reasonably quickly. Equivalent to about 700 W. Very even defrosting. Turntable works fine. Clear, obvious display. Attractive front panel design. Relatively quiet opration. Cons: Poorly laid out function buttons; some button labels hard to read. Door latch and door closing noisy; sounds cheap. Does not have rear recess to hide excess line cord. Does not appear easy to change cavity light bulb; not mentioned in instructions. Overall: We're happy with this microwave oven; it's a better unit than the one we replaced.

Purchased a similar model in 1985 & it still works. I can't think of a better recommendation. The size is perfect for our narrow counter AND it will hold a 9 X 13 pan (when the turntable is turned off). The increased wattage (800)is the right amount for us; any more & we would have had to learn to microwave all over again. If you want a super hot,super fast machine get something else. If you want easy to use & spacesaver design, this is the machine to buy. Hope this one lasts 24 years.

I really like the practical size; it does what I need from a full size microwave without wiping out counter space depth. It is only a little over 12" deep.

We had a GE Spacemaker oven that we had used for years and was satisfied with it. However it didnt have digital controls. The bottom of the old one had started to crack inside, so we thought it was time to get a new one. The amazing thing was that the new one fit perfectly in the space where the old one was. I have it hanging beneath the cabinets in the kitchen and I only had to drill two small holes to hang the new one. The Hardware that I needed came from the old Microwave unit and everything lined up perfectly

We have a very specific dimension that needed to be met with this new microwave and it fit perfectly. Mounting was relatively easy with the additional kit for about $20. Not the most powerful, but does the job fine.

We are replacing a 21 yr old GE spacesaver microwave. This one has the auto turn table. Hopefully this one will last just as long

Fits perfectly in a 12 inch deep cabinet. GE mounting kit is easy to install. I only use it to heat snacks/leftovers and have had no problems. Adjust popcorn setting if you use minibags...blackened my first bag. Helps to review the manual.

It was hard to find a microwave that fit a 24 inch slot. I was glad to find a GE brandname product too.

My husband and I especially like the fact that you can just push 1 or 2 or 5 and the minutes come on instantly. On our old GE, you had to push "Time Cook" and then 1-0-0 and then Start. So you push once instead of five times. The Spacemaker fits perfectly in the space we had available, and the color and design are clean and neat looking.

I purchased this oven to replace a previous GE microwave oven (same size) that had been in service for 20 years. Since my kitchen cabinets have a space for this smaller sized microwave oven, my options were limited to GE. The new one has run perfectly so far, has more features than the old one (turntable, one touch controls, etc.) and the black color matches my other appliances very nicely. I will be thrilled if this microwave lasts as long as the old one!

Purchased this unit after my existing GE Profile failed. In the old unit it was the simple little moisture sensor for checking popcorn and other sensing duties that was defective. It would have cost $103 to replace!!! That's if you could find it, along with the special $7 fuse that blew because if it's failure. Talk about planned obsolescence! GE obviously doesn't want these to be repaired. That's why I chose this particular unit. It does almost everything the other one does, costs $15 less than the exact replacement would have cost, and DOES NOT have the moisture sensor, which I didn't use anyway. It performs slightly better than the old one regarding cooking time, and is much quieter. It also has a couple of nice new features like an instant 30 second add and separate time defrost buttons. Together with the fact that it used the same under counter installation kit, it's exactly what I needed!

The product was as advertised, and the pricing was right[...]I will continue to buy from ABT.

I especially like the size for a small kitchen. I have only had it for three weeks but so far I am very satisfied.

Had to replace a 14 year old GE spacemaker microwave. This current model was updated but the dimensions and mounting brackets were identical with my old model. The installation was a snap and the new microwave is great.

This is the only microwave that can be used with a 12in deep cabinet.Most other are going to sick out several inches, and look funky

I have had the previous Spacemaker II for 10 years before replacing it with this model. They are both great microwaves and the new one is more powerful and has the advantage of a turntable for even heating. Small, easy to use, and a great price. GE is the clear winner for this size unit.

Exactly what I needed for our downstairs kitchenette/bar. I would buy this for my main kitchen as well.

We replaced our 6 year old GE Spacemaker. It's a great microwave. Fit right into the previous hardware. Has a great sleek look in our all white kitchen.

The product came with the problem on its door open/close hooks. We have scheduled the service from GE website. The repairman showed up on time and fix the problem in less than 30 minutes without the charge. Although we're disappointed about the hooks problem, however, we're satisfied with the prompt service and its service quality.

The perfect solution for our small pre-microwave kitchen. Provides an attractive update as well as convenience without sacrificing limited counter space. We are delighted with the compactness and functionality of this microwave oven!

This is our only microwave. It is used many times a day. Its somewhat under powered,and it's a little pricey, but it fit nicely into a small space. This is our third Spacemaker over 20 years.

We needed to replace an older model of this same microwave. It fits into a built-in area and only microwave ovens of a certain dimension can fit. This model is the perfect size! Large enough to handle any plate/item I would need to put into it and it has all of the options that some "compact" microwave ovens do not have. The price was also very reasonable [...]

We have an unusual situation where we have a microwave nook in our kitchen where the microwave is pseudo "built-in". This microwave was the largest we could fit into the space. It was perfect and has great features too. We are very happy with it.

Perfect for a bar or home theater area

The home we moved from had a 10 yr. old built in Spacesaver II & we wanted a microwave that matched it for our new home, but we could not find a similar one in the stores around us. We also wanted a microwave where we could turn off the turntable. So we got online & found what we were looking for at Abt. We like the new microwave.

I especially wanted a GOOD microwave that looked nice with my other appliances, fit under my counter, and performed efficiently. After looking at many stores, and calling others, my husband found this for me on-line! It is a winner!

Product arrived quickly and was well packed. I would definitely use ABT again!!

Too bad GE has discontinued the model. It's worth the internet search to find it. I now have two. When space is the primary factor, this is the best.

Only reason we bought a new microwave was because our old one (also a GE) is 21 years old. Though it still works fine, it has no turntable, has an unattractive imitation wood finish, and we were afraid it might finally wear out. So when we remodeled our kitchen we opted for a new one. Very glad we did - sleek new styling, lighter weight, much more interior room, more power, a turntable, and an optional hanging kit so we could install it under a cabinet and leave the counter free. We love it! Watch out for even the minutest dirt or crumbs between the turntable wheels and the ring - they can cause jerking and grinding when turning. Once you are aware of this - no problem. Just routinely wash the turntable ring even though you can't see any dirt there.

We purchased this because our 14 year old previous version that had served us so well finally shorted out. We were pleasantly surprised that the outer appearance has been updated and it has a nice look. We are locked into this size and it is the only one on the market with these dimensions, so the fact that it is good-looking and good quality are big pluses! We so far are very pleased with the quality and if we get another 14 years out of this one - wow!

Used frequently throughout the day, this microwave is our primary food cooker. It fits in a shallow shelf but is wide enough to heat large dishes. It's black finish matches our other appliances and it's flush front makes finger marks, etc. easy to clean off.

Even my 4-year old can use this touchpad!

Easy to install. Is a great upgrade from my last under-cabinet microwave. Defrost setting works like a charm. It does seem that there is a little less power when using the timed cook function vs the auto timer, but it isn't significant enough to really be problematic.

Meets our needs and expectations. This is the third GE Spacemaker we've had in seven years that we've lived here. Seems like they have about a three year shelf-life.

This is the second Spacemaker we have bought. Our other is about 10 years old and started tripping the fuse so we figured it was time for a new one. Obviously we like this product since it's our second one. Just wish the second one had a mute button like the last one did.

I read a review that knocked the spacemaker II as short on longegivity. I got almost 2 decades out of mine and like the Duracel drummerboy, it was still running. The only problem was that I could no longer read the time window. I also lucked out in that the "under the counter" bolt holes were identical on both units so I returned the mounting kit for refund. By the way, with a little ingenuity you could make your own template with a sheet of paper, drill the holes and get 4 bolts from the hardware store and save [$] on a mounting kit.The new spacemaker II works fine. It has a few more features than the old model and appears to be more powerful. If I get half the service life that I did from my old unit, I'll be a happy camper.

This microwave was smaller than I thought from the dimensions listed. I cook more than many people so I only use it to reheat things. It works great.

I had an earlier spacemaker II model since 1986 and it stopped working. The controls to set/start would not work. I think the control logic went out. I wanted the same model so it would fit in the same space and did not want to buy a new front (It sits in a shelf with a frame. It went in with no problem and looks good. The old model did not have a rotating cirle, This one seems to cook faster. [...].

We used this to complete our new kitchen remodel. It fit great as an under the cabinet mount. The tray is stable and easy to access. Is efficient for all type of cooking. Highly recommended.

Perfect size for under cabinet mounting. The only Microwave I have found that does not protrude from the overhead cabinets. Good internal size for a small microwave. Performs well on all settings. Easy to use.

Just what I wanted in an under the closet microwave.

This unit was installed in the breakroom on several locations of a pharmaceutical company in New Jersey. It was was selected because it is compact, yet not too small, providing a bracket to hang it under the counter. It's also a durable unit and can take some abuse. It's used several times during morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch time.

We looked forever to find a replacement for our under cabinet microwave which was over 10 years old. This model is an updated version of the one we had. It's the perfect size, very quiet, and more than powerful enough. We thought it came with the kit to mount it, but it didn't, so be sure to order it at the same time. It was, however, another $[...]!

We have three of these units at our office for 55 employees to heat and reheat lunches. I'm replacing one that lasted 15 years. The other two were replaced within the last 2-4 years. It is a great little unit. GE - don't stop making it!

One of the few with depth less than 15"-16". The power unit is on the side rather than the back. This makes the unit wider than usual but, that's exactly what I wanted.

It's just about right. Not too big, not too small. The display can't get any better. Simple, easy, but no limitations. The turntable is optional, which makes it so great. I use it "off" for heating a big casserole dish, but leave it "on" for round dishes. Opting it off or on is super easy. Easy to clean. The power is a bit on the lower side, but it works for me, because with my previous ones that were more powerful, I alsmost always lowered the power for gentler heating. The beep is a bit loud, but I expect I will get used to it soon.

This microwave is very powerful. I burned 2 bags of popcorn using the Popcorn button - be careful! I wanted to mount the microwave under my cabinet and found I couldn't because it was bigger than the recessed part under my cabinet. Be sure to measure first before purchasing! Also, this microwave is heavy. Your cabinet might not hold it's weight.

I do a lot of real cooking as well as reheating with a microwave. I also have a very small kitchen. This is a good counter top choice for me. I like that an 11" x 9" dish will fit in this oven and I can stop the turntable when I choose.

Just what I was looking for.

It fits in a small area, yet is a powerful microwave unit. As a built-in, It's useful life is only about 5 years. This is our 2nd unit.
