GOOD: Under-cabinet installation extremely easy.
DON'T BUY INSTALLATION KIT! - instead just buy 4 screws and drill 4 holes with template sheet already included in the box.

GOOD: Touch panel much easier to use than earlier GE models. Seldom need anything but simple 1-touch control.

BAD: Emits a burnt electrical component smell from vent on left side. Would have sent it back for exchange but unwilling to pay for shipping and it still works fine.

Overall: Would buy again.

We had to have the item serviced before we ever used it. The light blowout and did not work when you open the door. It was repaired and it works well now. We love it.

The microwave works great. It has a very simple and easy to use keypad. It heats very quickly and evenly.

Dimensions of this microwave are a plus. It's relatively wide and flat design make it great for under-cabinet, or a smaller kitchen where space is an issue.

my only issue is that it is much lighter than the last spacemaker i owned. that was a very trustworthy machine and that is why i bought another....power seems much greater albeit wattage is the same as the one i just buried.

We bought this unit to hang under a 24" cabinet. The fit was perfect and it worked well in our kitchen. No doubt it worked pretty well for a while. Mounting under the cabinet caved a lot of counter space. After 14 months the paint started to peel from the inside of the microwave. I am told by GE this is a normal occurance and not to worry. Now after 4 years the microwave has died. Cost to repair is more that the cost to replace it outright. GE is not going to get my business anymore.

ABT shipped exactly as promised and the unit was in great shape when it arrived. We were pleased that we didn't need to buy a new trim kit, as it matched our previous GE microwave. Nice design, even somwwhat retro with that bulging GE logo on the front. Cooks well.

After much research, determined this is the only model that would fit in space of old GE Spacemaker. It is perfect fit and sleeker looking, but old unit had one large, non-rotating tray vs. this, which has round rotating tray. Also, because of space, could not upgrade to more powerful oven. Controls are very similar to old oven, so transition was pretty seamless.

Bought this unit to replace an 8 year old GE Profile Spacemaker Microwave that recently died. I have the microwave mounted under the corner cabinet and it gives me extra room on the counter top so I really needed to go with the Spacemaker model. Opted to go with this more basic model rather than the Profile version as I found I rarely used most of the features that come with that model.

Bought this from Abt after local appliance store told me that GE no longer makes this model and it was no longer available. Online ordering was fast and easy and item was shipped to me the next day.
