A distinctively narrow footprint and bottom-mounted speakers make the LC-15S5U and the LC-20S5U perfect for small places. The ASV/Black TFT panel and 500:1 contrast ratio prove that you don’t need a big screen for outstanding picture quality. Both S5U models are compatible with progressive scan DVD players and are HDTV compatible via the HD component input. Flexible viewing options and compact size make the S5U Series an ideal entertainment choice for the kitchen, bathroom, office or any smaller space.

Good picture, just the right size

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I had to get a small TV that would fit in a small kitchen cabinet space - and this was the only one I could find. The speakers are on the bottom, not on the sides, so it is narrow enough to fit my requirements. My only complaint is -- and this would be true of any small TV with tiny speakers -- is that the sound isn't great. But, because I have cable, with a box, I can always put external speakers off the cable box, if I wanted. Overall, I am pleased with the attractive design and good picture. [...]

This TV is more than I ever expected !!

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This is our first "FLAT PANEL" LCD or PLASMA TV. It is set on a wall mounted shelf and replaced a 20 year old 35 LB 13 inch set. This SHARP weighs in at less than 11 Lbs. GREAT !! Setup is a 5-minute job. Thr picture is incredible and this not the "HD" version. I see no need for an "HD" tuner when the "standard" tuner and display perform such as this TV does. I think this SHARP LCD is simply wonderful.....

I love it - perfect size for small space
