Love that Kettle

Sturdy construction, handle is cool and soft, and kettle has no cord once removed from the base. Breville plugs are a big plus for older people with less grip, easy to remove from the recepticle.

Overall I can't complain. As people say, the handle is good, the thing looks nice, and it boils relatively quickly. the only con is it really doesn't hold much water. i keep having to refill it. my mom has a bosch (or something like it) at her house and it hold much more. T

Really like the kettle!

I use the kettle any time I want tea or boiled water for something. The kettle is good looking and quieter than others I have had. The pouring is precise, I have had others where water splashed at bit. My only possible negative comment is if you pick up the kettle from its base before it has automatically shut off, when you set it back on the base it will start to boil again. It will shut off automatically once it boils again.

Over all, I love it. It's pretty :) and I've been wanting an electric kettle for quite awhile. I like the backlit water level and I LOVE that it dings when ready. It's a little bit loud & it takes longer than I expected, 3-4 minutes. But still faster than stove top so I'm very happy.

Best Product I've found for heating water in a hurry with little worry if you get distracted with other house chores. It replaced a Chiefs Choice water kettle that shorted out [...] Bell sounds when water is finished heating to help remind you it's done. Glass top is nice but it is always steamed up so you can't see through it to view water when heating. Unparalled quality[...].

If your looking for a kettle, look no further, as your search stops here. This kettle really is top of the line. Looks great and does exactly what you want it to do. Boil water quickly and quietly. For those using stove-top kettles, that have a tendency to forget about what theyre doing, Breville have you in mind as there's a convenient boil-dry and auto shut off function. It may be a little more expensive than most kettles, but you get exactly what you pay for. A quality product, that's aesthetically appealing. Good addition to any modern kitchen.

The kettle looks good and is really pleasant to handle till it boils: the whole surface gets really hot and easily burns your hands (till you get used to not touching it). It would have been much better if it had a double layer to stay cool but still have its nice appearance of a steel appliance.

I love my new electric pot

I love this kettle. I destroyed 2 on the stove-top tea kettles. I'd put on the hot water, and then get distracted. This automatically shuts off, once the water has boiled. No more worries! It's a little bigger than I need for just one cup, but it is easy to handle (I have small hands), and pours very easily without drips or spills.

Breville Ikon Premium Kettle

My husband and I purchased this for my mother-in-law. She enjoys having a cup of tea, but tends to get busy and forget about the kettle boiling on the stove. This electric kettle has been a great solution for her. First, the Breville received excellent ratings (quality, etc.). And second, the automatic shutoff is wonderful! It gives us some peace of mind, especially since we live so far away (2000 miles!).

I love the fact that after adding water, all you need to do is push the button and forget about it. The chime alerts you when it is ready. You don't get burned by the steam when pouring like other kettles sometimes does.It looks really classy anywhere. My mother in-law saw it and loves it so I had to purchase one for her too. It is light weight and really easy to use. Don't know what I would do with out it.
