Danby Portable Top Loading Washer - White Finish - DWM99W

I've been using this little washer regularly (at least once every other day) since I got it a few weeks ago. At first I was worried that due to the price tag, it would break right away or leak or something, but it has worked quite well. One thing I noticed is that on the "regular" (vs. "gentle") agitator setting, it seems violent enough to shake the water right out of the machine, so I've kept it on "gentle" and everything still comes out clean. Lowering the stabilizing foot that keeps it from dancing too much is easy, however getting the foot back up off the floor so you can wheel the machine back to wherever you keep it, requires sticking your hand underneath and lifting up in order to fasten it back in the "up" position, because it is spring-loaded. It's not the easiest thing to do but considering the low price I'm willing to tolerate this minor inconvenience. Although I don't necessarily NEED to use the stabilizing foot, the machine shakes a lot less during spin cycle if I do (and will probably last longer because of it). The washing/spinning operations are quieter than I thought they would be; I don't think it's louder than any other washing machine (barring luxury models) I've ever used. The controls are very simple and manual instead of electronic, which gives an added level of control (say you want more spin time). Although the timer ticks rather loudly, like a metronome, after a few days I began to tune it out. Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend this machine to anyone who is single (due to capacity limitations), lives in an apartment or other space with no permanent laundry hookup, and doesn't mind a bit of physical labor adjusting the stabilizing foot.

plenty of power in a small machine-perfect for small loads and will handle 2 sheets or 3-4 towels at once- cleans delicates and perm press clothes on economy/gentle settings without beating them to death--be sure to check and clean tub and filter

I've had this product for three weeks and am very satisfied. It has a small capacity, but unless you have a larger family or young children, it does just fine. It seems to clean clothes well, and gets so much water out during the spin cycle that most clothes dry fairly quickly - I do washes in the early evening, and my pillowcases are usually dry by the time I want to go to sleep. Everything else (except towels and jeans) usually are bone dry the next morning. It's fairly quiet and not too difficult to hook up and start using. My only complaints: longer draining and water intake hoses would have been ideal. They are somewhat short, particularly for those wanting to keep the unit mobile and not permanently hooked up.
