It's a freezer, it freezes, I don't think much about it. My only concern is the lack of a temperature alarm: the temperature alarm on the freezer this replaced is what alerted me to the fact that the old freezer had failed.

This thing is big. It holds a lot of food. I wanted to buy a freezer and not have to worry about upgrading to a bigger one later. I am sure I won't need to. I keep it in the basement and don't hear it. It has lots of space and you can move the shelves around to accommodate whatever.

I bought this freezer because we purchased a half of cow. Half the cow fit fine with plenty of room to spare. I can't think of a single thing I would change about the product. It does what it says it does, it's rather quiet, works well, etc.

This chest freezer was ordered with the goal of being a summer essential -- freeze pops, burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, bags of ice, ice cream, chicken nuggets. It is performing swimmingly!

It sits in our garage, so we don't mind the noise of the motor.

The freezer is extremely quiet - it has a light on the front to tell you that it's on. That's good because you might not otherwise know. It seems to hold the temperature well. There is a key to lock it if you have small children or pilfering relatives. It has great organization for a chest model: 2 sliding trays, a shelf on the left, and a divider system that divides the bottom cavity in fours. You can remove these dividers if you have something huge to store. The capacity is much larger than I expected. You could easily fit 1/2 cow plus other frozen meat, entrees, pizzas, etc. I only wish it was energy star rated like the Whirlpool models. However, it still uses very little electricity. Manual defrost will be a drag, but I only expect to do it once a year. Auto defrost models would use enough electricity to noticibly increase your electric bill. [...]
