Panasonic 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange Expandable Digital Cordless Phone - KXTG5761S

Up to 8 Handsets With Just One Phone Jack
You can put handsets all over your house-in your kid's rooms or even in the garage-without all the messy wiring or complicated setup. With our 5.8 GHz expandable phone systems, you don't need a phone jack for each additional handset-just one for the base unit. So start expanding and forget about all your wiring worries.

Long Range, Clear Sound, Minimal Interference
Our 5.8 GHz Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum technology operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than the 2.4 GHz technology while maintaining the great security, incredible clarity and long range. Have a wireless computer network, or thinking about getting one? 5.8 GHz technology will not interfere with wireless networks such as 802.11b or 802.11g WiFi.

Hear Who's Calling Without Getting Up
With Talking Caller ID1, you don't have to get up to see who's calling-the phone will tell you. Panasonic cordless phones are the only cordless phones to incorporate true text-to-speech technology used in conjunction with your Caller ID service. There's no need for preprogramming or any fancy setup-as long as you have Caller ID service, just plug-and-play! Now you won't be interrupted by strange calls when you're washing the dishes, eating dinner or just watching TV. Let the phone tell you who's calling, so you can decide if you want to answer it or not.

Customize Your Ringer with Your Favorite Songs
This expandable phone system lets you upload unlimited free recordings of your favorite songs or sounds that you can set as your telephone ringer. All you need is the included audio cable and the music or sounds. Maximum recording time is 2 minutes.

Put the Phone Down While You Talk
Having a handset speakerphone may not seem like such a big deal-until you have to call an automated phone system. By the time you press "2" and return the phone to your ear, you missed half the next option! And when they put you on hold for ten minutes, do you really need to hold the phone? Not with the handset speakerphone. Just listen along, and press a button or pick up when it's convenient. You'll think up other great uses, like letting Grandma and Grandpa listen to their new grandchild at the same time, painting your nails as you talk to your best friend, or just being able to set the phone down while you talk.

Used for 3 weeks, no problems. Owned Panasonic phones in past, had great experiences. Voice booster & enhancer works great. Description says "wall mountable" ,but doesn't say it has to be purchased seperately. No belt clip included. Have to buy that too($.90) from Panasonic...($4.95 for S&H). All said, its a great phone with excellent features and performance for the money!
Pros: Attractive Design, Good Sound Quality, Great range, Comfortable Headset, Nice Features
Cons: Must BUY wall mount

All I can find at stores is phones with answering machines. Since I rely on voice mail service from my phone company, I didn't need the answering device. This phone has just the features I need. The talking caller ID is a great feature.
Pros: Good Sound Quality, Nice Features
Best Uses: Office

Great Phone!

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
[...] The reception is sharp and clear and I love the multi-level volume control when I am in a situation where I am having a hard time hearing my caller. So far, I love everything about it except one thing and I would have given it 5 stars except for this. The handset is small enough that you can't shoulder the phone if you need to use two hands to open a bottle or cook or multitask while you are talking. It does have a speakerphone in the handset and I have tried that, but it seems my callers have a hard time hearing me on it if I am moving around my kitchen, even tho I can hear them just fine. I have ordered a headset for the phone and will see how that goes. All in all, I would definitely recommend this phone and would purchase the same phone again.
Pros: Durable, Clear Reception, Easy Controls
Best Uses: Home, High Volume, Dorm Room
Cons: Too small to shoulder

Great range for house phone.
Reviewed by Official from Houston, TX on Nov 08, 2006

Great range for all 7 handsets throughout the house. Easy to use and neat features, like a speakerphone in each handset. The handsets are small enough to slip in your pocket, but large enough to be able to see and use. Lack of handset antenna is nice also. Dual antennas on the base unit seem to help with the range of the handsets. Extra handsets are priced reasonably.
Pros: Clear Reception, Easy Controls
Best Uses: Home
