This is a great product if you want to transfer VHS tapes to discs. Excellent quality reproductions. It can get as complicated as you like, if you want more functions, but the most useful features are easy to implement.

A very nice unit. The directions clear and easily understood. Tape to DVD dubbing is excellent. Easy set up. The only draw back that it has is, there is no random TV channel access.

Our family has always been very satisfied with Sony products and this one seems to be no exception. The ease of setting it up and then to use, went very quickly and smoothly. I really had no problems to have it replace our older VCR recorder. We plan on using it alot to transfer our home videos to DVD format to preserve them.

One complaint: The clock display on the front panel when the unit is off is too dim. It is unreadable! Everything else is wonderful.

THIS PRODUCT IS WORKING JUST AS PLANNED. CONVERTING ALL OF MY OLD VHS HOME VIDEO TO DVD AS WELL AS SOME REAL OLD SPORTING EVENTS. RECORDS OFF OF CABLE BOX VERY EASILLY. GREAT MACHINE!
