Great Disposal at a GREAT price

Great disposal, very powerful, pretty quiet, perfect fit. Very happy with the price!getting the old one out took a little time since i've never done it before and the connection from the drain to the disposal was different so i had to run to [...] and get a new pipe, but it was only[$]small price to pay to have a great disposal!

Great price for a good product

My plumber installed this garbage disposal in our remodel, so I can't speak to ease of installation. With everything else being top of the line in the kitchen, I should have gone for a more powerful and quieter garbage disposal. This 1/2 horsepower unit doesn't claim to be quiet, and it isn't. I've been in some houses where the garbage disposal just hums rather than grates; this isn't one of them. Besides the noise, however, I have no complaints. The price was amazing and it's Kitchenaid, so I expect it to last.

I first purchased this model from Abt and had it installed in my Chicago-area home when I remodeled my kitchen and found the product to be superior to the Insinkerator that it replaced, both in terms of performance and noise. I recently moved to Seattle and when the Insinkerator in my new house started to leak, I immediately ordered this Kitchenaid from Abt. Price was good, ordering easy and delivery was quick. Installation was also very easy (and I am a novice in every respect when it comes to doing any kind of handy work), and the unit has been performing exceptionally well ever since. Highly recommend this product.

I purchased this to replace a lower end Badger whose bottom had corroded out and started to leak. This product appears sturdier and is definitely quieter; on top of that, it was also cheaper than the Badger that was "recommended" to us by a plumber in the past.
