Alpine 10.2" DVD Rear Seat Entertainment Package - Black Finish - PKG-RSE2

Just bought this yesterday and had it installed by Abt. This unit is OUTSTANDING, simple as that. My kids LOVE IT!!! The installers at Abt are also OUTSTANDING. The unit looks like it came with the vehicle from the factory. We all LOVE IT!!! Awesome job Abt, I will keep coming back for more. We will be getting a head unit from Abt also, to replace the factory stereo.

great job of installing, but the sound is too low from the car speakers. It should come with more headphones.

You can't get better for this price!. This overhead has all you need, RF Modulator, Infrared Headphone, Aux inputs, Great picture and Top Name Brand "ALPINE". We have 15 month old son that loves getting in the truck now. Before he would cry and want attention, now he don't care all he does is watch cartoons. I love it!! The only bad thing with this package is that it only comes with one infrared headphone. Other then that is Great!!!

The Alpine PKGRSE2/ 10.2" WVGA Overhead Monitor With 1.15 Million Pixels is a high quality unit. The screen resolution is much higher than the cheaper brands and even some of the quality brands (like Clarion and Kenwood). The rear audio toggle control (between the FM radio and using the wireless headphones only) and the power button is great to have on the side facing the front passengers. This unit has to be hard wired for the FM modulator (not wireless) but that is better for heavy use anyway and having the toggle switch makes it easy to go back and forth between the radio/CD player in the car or the DVD audio feed. The Alpine SHS-N103 wireless headphones work great but you only get one. Extras are only about [$] online at ABT so get at least 1 more if not 2-3. They fold flat so they are easy to store. This is a much higher quality unit (expecially the video resolution) and you can find a local Alpine dealer to install it while saving on the price [...] and you can often save on the sales tax as well in most states outside IL. The depth of the unit is thinner than most of the cheaper aftermarket units so that also gives you a bit more headroom around the unit which was very important for my Mazda 5 application (small wagon/minivan). It fit fine behind a factory sunroof in this application as well.Alpine is highly recommended and OEM for their CD changers and other car audio in many quality vehicles (we have a Honda Alpine OEM CD changer (trunk mounted as for a 1998 Accord before in-dash CD changers were commonplace) and we have had no problems with it either.

I had it professionally installed ($250) about 3 weeks ago in our 2008 Toyota Sienna with no sun roof and it looks and works great. Abt's price[...] beat any body's price. The screen does not block the rear mirror, the remote works pretty good from the front seat, the play/pause button facing the front is great, the door activated dome light is very bright, and the movies start were they left off. Relatively little skipping on bumpy roads, and when the screen is folded up the player is very unobtrusive, only caveat is I am using the FM modulator, which means I have to turn the radio almost to max for a good volume, the plus is it does not interfere with any of my bluetooth devices. If your radio has an auxiliary port I would pay the extra amount to connect it.

After seeing how gorgeous the picture was on the Alpine compared to several others at my local Car Audio/Video dealer I decided to order it on-line for half the price of the dealer. I did the install myself but got several quotes of $180 to $200 to have it installed. I cut a hole in the headliner and glued a 2x6 block to the roof to screw the metal install plate to looks perfect. In my truck you could either hook up the power to the dome light or run cable to the ignition wire under the dash (that is what my dealer suggested, so I ran the wires under the dash) The only reason I gave this unit 4 out of 5 stars is because it does not have a wireless FM modulator. It came with a wired FM modulator that you need to run to your stereo and plug into. I was wanting to go with a bigger screen (15 -17 inch) but I got talked out of it after talking to more than one car video installer and listening to how many of them are returned from the screen mounts breaking and everyone said the video quality was not as good on the bigger screens as it was on the 10 inch. The wireless headphones also work great even at an angle.

This is a great Overhead DVD player. Fits nicely in Honda Odessy. [...] Not suggested for copied DVD movies. Original movie DVDs works great.

I love this DVD player. Kids sit for hours on long road trips and enjoy movies. My wife and I are happy because we don't have to listen to the movie as the kids love the wireless headphones. The unit has parent controls at the front so you can switch it off when needed, without having to lean back too far.

No regrets in getting this DVD player for my 2007 Honda Odyssey van. My three kids were happy and the audio was superb. We use it to play xbox games for complete entertainment. Sound quality on the wireless headset was great. Remote control came in handy as well. A little distraction for the rearview mirror as it blocks almost 80% of my view of the traffic behind me.[$]

Awesome display in our Odyssey as it replaces the portable headrest mounted units that we were using. Had it professionally installed and wired into the back of our OEM radio and makes me wish I was back there watching the movies with the kids. If your van has a moon roof, this unit will impede your ability to use your review mirror when it is open, which is no big deal for us.

We had this unit for about a month and thus far we are please with it. I will give more comments as time goes on. This is a must with 3 children and traveling. Allows mom and dad to enjoy a trip without the fussing. I had my installer tell me you are much better off buying aftermarket dvd players because sometimes the factory installs cheap units. I would agree because my last unit was not very good. It was in a Toyota Sienna(2004) and I had this put in my 2008 Sienna.

Really nice product. I'll guess it's better than OEM. Kids love it. Picture is crystal clear. Headphones work really well. Don't buy the install card. Had it professionally installed for $96.00. The installcard price is 200 bucks. In my Honda Odyssey van the unit doesnt impede my rearview even with unit in play.

We got this DVD player for our two sons who get bored on long trips to the Grandparents. They love it, the picture is awesome. I love that there is controls on my side to turn it off so I don't have to crawl between the seats to see all the buttons. There is a remote which is great, but you have reach your arm all the way back so it can reach the signal on the front of the DVD player, not very convienent when driving. The professional that installed it for us was impressed by the metal mounting bracket and trim ring that was with the player. The other nice thing about this is you can still have your dome light (or not) if you wish. The only thing I would add to the package is a second set of headphones. Otherwise, a great player, we love it!

I was a little skeptical about buying an after-market overhead DVD player for our minivan, but this Alpine unit is great in every respect. It integrates nicely with the car stereo system and is extremely easy to use. Most importantly, the picture is very, very nice. Makes me want to go back there with the kids to watch DVDs. The unit is also very sturdy and does not rattle or squeek. This was a great purchase and I highly recommend it if you are looking for an aftermarket DVD player.

awsome .ONLY thing is when u manually shut the unit down and stART THE VEHICLE THE NEXT MORNING THE UNIT COMES ON , ON ITS OWN .tHATS THE ONLY THING I DO NOT LIKE..only!!!!!!
