Excellent 5 Channel Amp

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This amp delivers what it promises. It is a class D amp so some audio quality might be compromised for efficiency and output wattage. However, audiophile quality was #3 on our list of important features. This amp was installed on a Polaris RZR-s UTV (off road vehicle) under the dash / front hood. Mounting space is tight and battery longevity is limited on this type of vehicle (along with a small alternator), so this amp is a perfect compromise when you are looking for a 5 channel amp in a small space and limited battery reserves. Once installed, this amp more than surpassed my sound quality expectations (I'm somewhat of an audiophile) along with excellent output capability (mine came tested and certified to 110Wrms x 4 channels & 414Wrms mono / sub). I'm running a set of Kenwood 5-way 6x9's rated at 90Wrms, Kenwood 2-way 6-1/2", and a 10" shallow mount Pioneer sub rated at 300Wrms. I'm using a Pyle 7 band EQ driven by an iPod (no head unit), and this amp performs excellent. I have run the system at moderate volumes for more than two hours on a smaller "motorcycle" size battery without issue. The amp also has an excellent speaker plug system to ensure proper polarity connections, and each channel can be fine tuned (gain / crossover) to your system. This amp (along with the PDX-5M) is really popular in the UTV community.
