I use it everyday for reheating and frozen meals. So far so good. It fits perfectly into the restricted space I have. It replaces another GE model that worked perfectly for 10 years. I burned some instant popcorn and couldn't get the small out. This one feels a little less well constructed than the other one did but I'm hoping it lasts as long.

We use the microwave for reheating food, heating frozen meals, popcorn, limited cooking, and heating water for coffee/tea. It heats quickly and evenly and is pretty quiet (compared to previous oven). The only cons I have are (1) the buttons are not easy to push, (2) it has metal feet which slide on the counter top, and (3) it's feet are uneven, the oven wobbles. I took care of 2 and 3 with some cork pads I bought at [...]. One on each 3 of the feet and 2 on the front left foot. Now its even and doesn't slide

This microwave died after having it for just over two years (purchased Oct 07). That's just past the standard warranty and extended warranty provided by my CC. I do not recommend purchasing this product.

This model was bought for my mother-in-law who couldn't find an acceptable mid-size model in her rural locale. Only stipulation besides size was that it be black and have a push-button opener. Because Ma is 91 years old and set in her ways, it was important that the microwave be easily operated. Her only complaint was that the unit slipped when opened. Rubber furniture cups solved the problem and she's once again happily making their mid-morning tepid instant coffee.

The only negative comment is that you have to press the timed cook button before you enter the time. It does not default to letting you just enter a time to cook. Not a big deal, just one extra button to push.

I use this microwave for basic cooking and it is great for that. Just a hair smaller than the mid-sized I was using but I have no problems with the size. Where this oven excels is in price/performance. A very nice model that is about $20 less at ABT than at a local discount store. It does everything I expect at a price that made me happy. Minor inconveniences include buttons that have to be pushed directly in the center or they will be somewhat hard to register, and the lettering is a gray color rather than black which is not quite as visible in dim lighting. I have owned the oven for just 2 months and if it performs well over time it would earn my highest ranking.

This is a nice size Microwave. I use it for heating leftovers, TV dinners, steaming vegetables and a few other things. To this point I am very satisfied with the product. Heats evenly and isn't noisy. However, the one thing I don't like is that the buttons I use are not sensitive enough and it seems like your fingers have to be packed with power to push the buttons. Other than that, it's a satisfactory product.

This microwave works great!! I wasn't used to such a powerful microwave and actually burned something the first time I used it, but it works really well. It heats everything really evenly and is quiet! Good value for the price I paid!! Would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new microwave oven!

Use mostly for defrosting, reheating, popcorn. I really like all the features but it takes awhile to get on the learning curve. The interior is just a tad too small for larger plates and when running it is sooo noisy. On our old one you could barely tell it was on.

We use this microwave for limited cooking of vegetables and simple entrees. We reheat existing dishes, also. The oven is powerful, easy to configure and a little noisier that we had expected. However, it is a great oven at a great price. It is so powerful compared to our old microwave that we have to use caution not to "over do" the heat level and cook time. Buy it! The price was great and the results are fantastic.

Need steroids to use control panel!

In order to use the control panel buttons you have to use so much force to push the buttons that you end up moving the entire microwave. Maybe I'll get use to it but after 3 weeks it is still frustrating. It appears to work fine other than this problem but sometimes its the "small" things that can make one not recommend it.

Had same size GE micro for past four years. Works great. Just remodeled kitchen and got new GE micro to fit into bottom shelf of wall cabinet. This is the largest could find with the right dimensions. This one is less deep than others but still 1..1 cu ft. New micro is much lighter than my previous which also is better for cabinet shelf placement although I did add two extra wall screws into the back of the cabinet to support micro and I added extra 1/2" piece of plywood on bottom to handle the extra two inches stick out from cabinet front. (FYI: I installed an outlet on the wall behind cabinet when remodeled and then cut out small central square from cabinet back to expose outlet.)

This is a great little microwave for the price. It cooks evenly and is easy to operate. The only flaw that I could find was the "automatic" controls are a bit confusing. Codes for foods just don't provide enough variability within each category. That said, this more than does the job. It just takes a little trial and error to find the exact times to reheat something. Once done, no issues.

I use a microwave casually, mainly for heating leftovers or making popcorn. I've always had a 700 or 800 watt in the past. But I am so thrilled to have this 1100 watt. What a difference! 60-90 seconds and my leftovers are done; and for the first time, I punched the POPCORN button and every kernel popped. I'm really happy I got this microwave.

This microwave is solidly built, and works very well and fairly quietly. I like the 1-6 min buttons, and the 30-sec addition button. My only complaint is the loudness of the beeps, which cannot be silenced. An on/off option for the beeps would have earned it 5 stars from me.

About the microwave:The microwave's controls are very user friendly and the interior size of the microwave is very adequate (full size plates and fully popped bags of popcorn fit with no issues.) The only negative that I have to say is that the beep is rather loud and annoying if you don't retrieve your food immediately. It's of a perfect size to fit on the counter where I need it. Its performance is excellent, though the insulation is not as good as in the (more expensive) unit it replaced, and the buttons require a bit more pressure to use.

This is a great size microwave for most people and has some nice features. I had never used auto-cook features where you select the type of food and portion size, but am impressed by it. With you use these settings, the heat cycles are customized and the food is more evenly heated. It works so well that I try to use the auto-cook feature whenever I can. Also, GE prints the auto cook selection guides on the inside of the door so you don't have to look it up in the manual. I will say that I don't see the need for both an auto cook and auto reheat settings for beverages. It seems redundant and I would rather GE had included an auto-cook setting specific for a baked potato. I do like the express cook keys and the +30 second key. For a 1100 watt microwave, the +30 second is going to be more useful than having to add a full minute. The turntable platter is a generous size and the timer can be used to delay cooking and to set a holding time after cooking. The key pad is a little stiffer than what I was used to, so I have to push a little harder, but this is not a significant drawback. The clock display is easy ro read from any location in the room. I'm pretty happy with this microwave.

New to this machine - it was a replacement to an older much smaller Little Litton. This is a pleasure as it seems to work on the timings that are suggested on the packaging of various food products - which is a nice change for me. With the old machine I always had to double the time and guess. The only minor complaint is the the popcorn stting seems to need to be on it's longest timing for all size microwave popcorns. When I used the lower settings much of the popcorn kernals did not pop - when I used the first setting (which is the longest) it worked just fine. Thaws frozen food nicely. Haven't tried all the various features yet - but it offers many nice options. Mostly we reheat coffee, heat muffins and zap premade meals from Fresh Direct. I just have to remember that on the coffee it needs much less time than the old machine or it can come out way too hot. Love the Black finish.

You rarely have to push the Start button. It has 1 touch for adding 30 seconds, 1 minute through 6 minutes. Even on reheat once you enter the code is starts automatically.

It does what is it supposed to do for my purpose, which is basic cooking and reheating. Has several "nice to have" options. A bit of uneven heating if large amount of food are prepared. And, the panel wants to "know" size/amount of food before it selects a heat setting and length of heating. In my opinion, could have eliminated that option entirely (since I am not always sure of what to input there and it's an extra step) and let customer choose his/her own cooking settings... Otherwise, it is a nice size, looks good and works well.
