This is a great size microwave for most people and has some nice features. I had never used auto-cook features where you select the type of food and portion size, but am impressed by it. With you use these settings, the heat cycles are customized and the food is more evenly heated. It works so well that I try to use the auto-cook feature whenever I can. Also, GE prints the auto cook selection guides on the inside of the door so you don't have to look it up in the manual. I will say that I don't see the need for both an auto cook and auto reheat settings for beverages. It seems redundant and I would rather GE had included an auto-cook setting specific for a baked potato. I do like the express cook keys and the +30 second key. For a 1100 watt microwave, the +30 second is going to be more useful than having to add a full minute. The turntable platter is a generous size and the timer can be used to delay cooking and to set a holding time after cooking. The key pad is a little stiffer than what I was used to, so I have to push a little harder, but this is not a significant drawback. The clock display is easy ro read from any location in the room. I'm pretty happy with this microwave.

Works well as expected. Nothing too fancy but does the job. I have had it for a few years now and no problems at all. Good solid product. It is a little noisy, but most microwaves are.

Being a disabled person, cooking is a major project for me; so I tend to make large batches of anything I make and then live off of this one cooking for a number of days. It is very important then to have a reliable means of reheating my food and this G.E. 1100 watt microwave oven does the job admirably! As my health improves, I look forward to learning how to do actual cooking with it. I am very, very pleased with this appliance.

I never realized how much microwave cooking I did until my old one died. The first unit that was delivered had a bad magnetron, but the store delivered a replacement model, and it works great. The upgrade in power (my previous unit was only 700 watts) meant adjusting some cooking times, but the unit works great!

Service and delivery comments:

I've purchased from Abt multiple times before, and never had a bad experience with service or delivery. Upon delivery, the microwave did not heat. A quick Internet search showed a history of malfunctioning magnetrons with this model. I called Abt, and they brought me a new one the next business day without any trouble. And the new one works great.
