It is easy to install, but this one is only good for 6 months, all of my previous ones were for 12 months. And the price hasn't decreased accordingly.

The filter is so easy to use. You just twist, click, and it is replaced. You don't have to worry about it for up to six months. My Maytag refrigerator tells me when it is time to replace it. You couldn't ask for anything easier. And the water/ice quality is great.

Replacement Product Instruct not clear

Once we figured out how to install because the directions were not clear, we started to get warm water out of drinking spout. This took a long time to clear and also the air in line took a while. The Ice Maker took 4 1/2 days tostart working again. Called service, then cancelled b4 they had to come out once it started working.

Installation can be tricky - have always found it hard to remove the old filter and it always seems it needs replacing in the dog days of summer so keeping the fridge open for extended period of time is problematic and I hate seeing the internal temp of fridge go up from 38 degrees to almost 50 in a few short minutes.

The Puriclean II water filter is installed on the inside of my Amana side by side refrigerator freezer. Basically, after I install it every half year, I press and hold the dispenser lock and auto light buttons on the dispenser (at the same time) for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons. On some Amana fidges you need to press the dispenser lock and water buttons for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons.

Replaced our fridge filter, and the speedy water flow was restored! Our old filter had been in there for 3 years - (they say change it every 6 months and I didn't believe them). Finally, I noticed that it took a couple minutes to fill a glass of water because the flow was so slow. So I broke down and ordered the expensive replacement filter...and voila! Water fills quickly now. My husband thinks it tastes better, too.

We were overdue for replacing our filter. Water was coming out very slow. After replacing filter, the water flowed freely. What a difference. I noticed the need to flush the system longer since water was tasting funny. That quickly went away and am enjoying great tasting water once again.

I am on a well. I use this in my refrigerator because even though the water tastes fine without replacing it every year, the ice gets this weird taste. I could tell immediately after installing a new filter that my ice tasted better. Sometimes I noticed little white flaky things in the bottom of a glass after the ice had melted and now I dont have that problem with the new filter.

Installation was difficult because removal of old filter was tricky. Be sure you are able to remove your old filter before unpackaging the new one. But, managed to figure it out - works like a charm. Remember the draining process during installation of new filter.

Installation is easy (well, I did get my husband to remove the old filter--it had gotten tight and if anything broke while removing it, I preferred he break it, not me). If the product purifies all it says it does, it is well worth the money. We will continue to use this product (as long as the price remains reasonable).

It's a bit difficult to remove the old filter but the new one snapped right in and the indicator light went on immediately showing that it was functioning. These filters provide delicious and polished water up to 18 months with our relatively pure deep well water. The force required to remove them, together with the somewhat awkward position, however, may be more than many hands can manage, on the order of a severely tight jar lid. I always feel I'm about to break something.
