This Refrigerator Water Filter is used in Maytag�, Jenn-Air�, Amana�, Whirlpool�, and KitchenAid� bottom-mount refrigerators with filter access inside the refrigerator. Simply turn the Refrigerator Water Filter to remove and replace. While retaining beneficial fluoride, this NSF� Certified Refrigerator Water Filter reduces cysts, chlorine taste and odor, particulates (class I), lead, and mercury. The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water filter are not necessarily in all users' water. Replaced our fridge filter, and the speedy water flow was restored! Our old filter had been in there for 3 years - (they say change it every 6 months and I didn't believe them). Finally, I noticed that it took a couple minutes to fill a glass of water because the flow was so slow. So I broke down and ordered the expensive replacement filter...and voila! Water fills quickly now. My husband thinks it tastes better, too.

We were overdue for replacing our filter. Water was coming out very slow. After replacing filter, the water flowed freely. What a difference. I noticed the need to flush the system longer since water was tasting funny. That quickly went away and am enjoying great tasting water once again.

The filtering takes all the chemical taste out. I don't care for bottled water - this tastes much better and in the long term is cheaper and more environmentally safe.

Don't forget to flush plenty of water through the filter after installation. The first several glass-fulls were cloudy, but one-by-one they became more clear. Now, my water tastes great.

I am on a well. I use this in my refrigerator because even though the water tastes fine without replacing it every year, the ice gets this weird taste. I could tell immediately after installing a new filter that my ice tasted better. Sometimes I noticed little white flaky things in the bottom of a glass after the ice had melted and now I dont have that problem with the new filter.

Installation is easy (well, I did get my husband to remove the old filter--it had gotten tight and if anything broke while removing it, I preferred he break it, not me). If the product purifies all it says it does, it is well worth the money. We will continue to use this product (as long as the price remains reasonable).
