I had the same exact model Whirlpool disposal which died after years of service. It was easy to remove, easy to swap out the electric plug, and I didn't have to remove the original hardware in the sink. Everything fit like it should and it works like a charm. Just remember to pop out the plug if you're attaching a dishwasher. Fortunatley I know better but I can only imagine the look on someone's face if they don't knock out the plug for the dishwasher waste line.

My existing garbage disposal started leaking out the bottom, and when it took it apart, it was rusted enough that I didn't want to mess with it. I bought this as an (almost) identical replacement, hoping/assuming it'd fit in the same space with the same connections. It did, with the exception of the drain having a flat connection rather than the screw in type I previously had, but that was resolved with a quick trip to [@]. The low price, free shipping, and quick delivery made this a winner.

Bought this garbage disposal and installed it myself in a couple of hours or less.
It was easy to install. Many instructions are available on the net and also some videos. I like the wrench that was provided. It helped in taking off the old one and putting on the new one very easy. Since we have used it only a few weeks we can not really say how durable it is or how long it will last but it does seem to work well.
