Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6400SW Top Loading White Washer, Model WTW6400SWH

Ultra capacity plus provides enough room to wash three baskets of laundry in a single load. This ENERGY STAR� qualified washer uses a wash plate, instead of a traditional agitator, to create 4.5 cu. ft. I.E.C. of cleaning space. Also features Direct Inject spot and stain removal, 3 selectable spin speeds and 6th Sense� technology that 'knows each load'.

Prior to the start of Duet� and Cabrio� wash cycles, a highly concentrated dose of detergent is injected into fabrics, working to penetrate stains and pre-treat soil. Only when the entire load has been treated with the concentrated cleaining lather does the wash cycle begin.
6th Sense� Technology
As soon as the wash cycle is started, Duet� and Cabrio� washers use various sensors to determine the size of the load and precisely how much water is needed to clean it. Heat sensors then monitor the temperature, and make sure water is warmed gradually to make cleaning enzymes optimally effective. Suds sensors also work to prevent oversudsing in the low water wash system.
Care Control Temperature Management
Care Control Temperature Management uses built-in sensors to monitor wash water and ensure it's warm enough to dissolve detergents and cool enough to ensure proper fabric care.

The clothes come out of the washer almost permanently wrinkled. Perhaps the energy saved by using as little water as possible has caused me to exert much more energy IRONING!

This washer is great- I can finally wash my king size blankets outside of nasty laundromats. It cleans well and does not break my delicates like the tradtional agitators. For the next generation Whirlpool needs to allow you to changes load sizes. If you don't have a full load, it's still the same amount of water and energy.

The customization ability is really great. Only down side is that it is so large that I can't reach to the bottom of the tub, but I am only 5 feet tall! So quiet we don't realize it's there.

We compared front loaders to this particular top loader. We were intrigued by the capacity and the non-agitator cleaning system. We were also turned off to front loaders by having to buy the stands (an extra $300 a pair at the cheapest). Clothes turn out great while towels are done in one load instead of three.

I have five kids that send a lot of clothes down the laundry chute. I was able to do what would have been nine loads in my old washer in four loads in this new Cabrio. It is quiet and does not seem to vibrate as much as some of my friends front loaders in the spin cycle.

I love having no agitator. It is easier on the clothes. Not having to choose the water level is a extra plus. It is very quiet and takes large loads well.
