I use this in a basic system: 4 speakers (2 each side), Yamaha receiver. Used for reading and casual listening, not audiophile. Very solid unit with a good sound, no skipping, quick loading, quiet mechanism.
I was able to easily program my Yamaha receiver remote to operate this unit.
I don't like the carousel. I can't find a way to rotate it while the tray is open, and it's tricky to load the 2 "back" slots without dropping the disc.
I would buy this product again

Reliability |
First unit that I purchased didn't read the CDs. Evidently, the laser was bad. After exchanging [...], the unit now works well. Exchanging CDs is very easy and the player switches between CDs quicker than unit that I used to have. Unit is easy to use, although some functions are only accessable on the remote control.
