Great product, really deep cleans rugs, found out how much old vac was leaving behind. Only downside is its heavy, but that is all that' wrong with it

This sweetheart brought dirt and funky stuff from out of our carpet that we had no idea was hiding there. We have an O...k and have no complaints about its worth, but evidently it didn't have the suction this sweetheart has! Glad we got it and have just begun to hunt down the vermen the O...k couldn't make surrender. Love the no bag concept!

Goodness, this thing is a monster. I vacuumed with my old hoover and this thing just blowed the [*] out of it. I was almost disgusted to see what was in the container after my first trip through the carpet. The container filled up in no time the firt time I used it. Its like a teacher telling a student "Now watch me, this is how its done." And ofcourse the air smells better.

Handsdown THE animal hair vacuum

Attached is a picture of the culprit that caused the Dyson purchase... - The DC17 definitely did not disappoint. It was amazing to see how much dog hair was still left in the carpet after vacuuming with my old vacuum. WOW! I highly recommend the Dyson DC17 - it is well worth the $$$ price tag.

Outstanding for Dog Hair

[...] The instructions weren't great but not horrible and I was vacuuming the floor within 10 minutes of unpacking the Dyson. I later vacuumed one room with my old Kirby (with a new bag) then followed behind with the DC-17 and I was blown away. There was a ton of dirt and pet hair in the dust bin that my old vacuum left behind. This vacuum is very powerful. The bin is easy to empty and no matter how full it gets, the vacuum suction never decreases. I tried the telescoping wand with a brush attachment on my carpeted stairs and they have never been so clean. It works great on long and short pile carpets, although you might need to occasionaly pull some carpet fibers off the self adjusting brushbar with longer pile carpets. This vacuum also works well on flat tile floors. Best of all though, it picks up pet hair! With two golden retriever dogs there is a lot of pet hair everywhere. The DC-17 sucks it ALL up. I am VERY pleased with this vacuum and would buy another one in a minute.
