After using a budget toslink cable and getting clicks and dropouts in a rather modest run of 6 feet I was about to condem my preamp/processor. Before spending more money on a new preamp I decided to try a better cable. The difference was amazing, no more clicks or dropouts. The whole system seemed much less veiled in sound. The sound stage opened up and the dynamics became much wider it was as if the the cheaper cable was compressing the sound and strangling the dynamic range and clarity. Dont buy new equipment, try better cables first.

Used in a home theater system. This allows full digital surround use without HDMI. No interference from electrical items, the design allows a longer run with bends and no audible pops/jitter. Best upgrade for my system when compared to a much lesser cable. I can hear the difference between this cable and a prior cable which was also new.
