If you're looking for a quiet unit, save yourself the trouble and pass this one up. I'll be switching to a Whirlpool.

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I ordered this model hoping that it would be quiet. From the moment it was delivered, I heard a rattling and a loud fan sound. [...].But it didn't...If you're looking for a quiet model, pass this one up. Otherwise, its a nice model.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

It keeps food cold and has ample storage for a two/three person household. The price is right and the smaller size is used to it's fullest. It's nothing to brag about, but I wouldn't show off any kitchen appliance in the first place. Buy this instead of getting your old one repaired. Only issue: It does produce a very low, but still audible gurgling/rumbling sound when cycling.

Great fridge for the price

We previously owned a Hotpoint for over 30 years; it finally gave out. Our old fridge barely fit into our kitchen so a smaller unit was what we needed for replacement. The size was perfect and we were surprised at how much the new one could hold; being 2 cubic feet or so smaller. This was the first major appliance that I ordered from Abt's website [...]

Our only refrigerator, a 30 year old Hotpoint, died 2 days before Christmas and we were frantic. We had limited space for a new box so this one fit the bill. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of our older unit but it does have the name and reputation. It was a bit noisy when first installed but after cooling down to operating temperature it is whisper quiet. [...]
