BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I use this unit with a new 1080 LCD HDTV and am blown away by the high picture quality of both the VCR and DVD. This little gem has given me renewed interest in some of my old VHS tapes. I thought I'd have to replace my favorite taped movies with DVD's, but now it seems that may not be necessary after all! Also, I like that you can stop the DVD, turn off the machine and when you turn it on again the DVD starts right where you left off. -A very nice feature indeed!

I am using this product to view home VCRs and DVDs. I have it hooked to a TV with RCA inputs. I first tried to hook it to a TV with only RF inputs. That did ot go very well. I found that I need another couple of iteme that I had at home but the preformance is better on the TV that has the same jacks as the player.
