OFTEN HE SUSTAINS CUTS AND SCRAPES AND GOES BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY FOR MORE "RETIREMENT FUN". HE IS A CANCER SURVIVOR AND NEEDS TO PROTECT HIMSELF FROM BACTERIAL INFECTIONS. SO WHEN HE ARRIVES FROM THE TRAIL, HIS CLOTHES GO IMMEDIATELY INTO A PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG; THEN INTO OUR LG STEAM WASHER ON THE SANITARY CYCLE. THIS CYCLE IS SO GOOD, HIS CLOTHES IMMERGE PERFECTLY CLEAN, SANITIZED AND READY TO COVER HIS BODY AND YESTERDAY'S SKIN SCRAPES FOR ANOTHER DAY OF FUN IN THE WOODED MOUNTAINS. LG'S SANITARY CYCLE IS THE MAIN REASON HE HAS NEVER HAD AN INFECTION AND RARELY HAS ANY POISON IVY RASH. DURING THE PAST 5 YEARS, OUR LG HAS SANITIZED OUR SHEETS, TOWELS, DISH TOWELS AND HAND TOWELS. IT IS ENORMOUSLY EFFECTIVE DURING THE COLD AND FLU SEASON. THE SANITARY CYCLE IS AS IMPORTANT AS OUR YEARLY FLEW SHOT. SIMULTANEOUSLY, IT WASHES DELICATE CLOTHES WITH GENTLE FINESS. EACH CYCLE WORKS PERFECTLY, DRYING TIME IS REDUCED AND IT NEVER FAILS TO WORK AS DESIGNED. INCIDENTALLY, SERVICE HAS NEVER BEEN NEEDED. INITALLY, I THOUGHT IT TO BE A LITTLE PRICEY. YOU SOON LEARN QUALITY IS REMEMBERED LONG AFTER PRICE HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN. LG CONTINUES TO BE A QUALITY MANUFACTURER OF HOME APPLIANCES FOR HOMEOWNERS WHO DON'T WANT TO WASTE THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY ON APPLIANCES NOT INTENDE TO LAST.

This washer was purchased bacause of the steam clean feature. It is by far the worst washer we have ever owned. It was replaced by LG within the first 2 months we owned it because no one would service it. It vibrates so bad during the spin cycle we can't keep it in place. As soon as we can afford it, we will replace it. We will never own LG appliances again.

Not a complaint I can think of. My wife won't come out of the laundry room and that's fine by me, most of the clothes are mine. Best appliance we've purchaced. The shake warning with hardwood floors is real, expect to reinforce the floor joists but it's well worth the effort.

I love how it measures the Tide, Downy, and Bleach so I don't over use them. Alittle longer to washer but no big deal because it can handle alot more clothes! The clothes smell wonderful thier clean and some much less drying time!!!

the machine is great and easy to use. i have recommended it to a number of people already. so many different settings and everything was easily hooked up.

Service and delivery comments:

the delivery people were on time (as always), very efficient, very nice, and very fast. they also did a few things that they didn't have to, such as taking off the outside door, because the machine wouldn't fit through it.
delivery has always been stellar.

The only negative we experienced was the shaking while in a spin cycle. The manual does explain how to reduce this with proper adjustments to the leveling legs. (these simlple adjustments are critical to a well balanced machine) The adjusments will greatly reduce or eliminate the vibration, but be prepared to spend some time fine tuning the adjustments until a acceptable result is obtained.

Was atracted by this model because of the steam and steamfresh features which no other model has. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this unit. The steam really gets my whites cleaner. Use the steam fresh short cycle on tablecloths which come out of the drawer wrinkled, so I don't have to iron before using anymore. Also, steamfresh saves on drycleaning bills and is great for quick touch up for wrinkles jackets and clothes that come out of luggage wrinkled, but were not worn. LG has made this unit extremely easy to use with default settings for most types of clothes. Does an excellent job cleaning and love the variety of cycles available. Once you get used to the longer clean cycles, which provide the energy efficiency of this unit, you will LOVE it too. A real innovator.

We went from a top loader to this front loader and we love it. It cleans so much better and has a larger capacity than our old one. I really like the different options that are available: Delicate, heavy, normal and quick wash. Steamwash works as advertised and the clothes have more vibrant colors after the wash.
I have also added the remote monitor since my washer and dryer is in the basement and that works great, and you can plug it in anywhere in the house.
