This unit replaced an older discontinued GE disposal of the same "slim" dimensions. The new unit was easy to install, take into consideration that we replaced an existing disposal. Additionally, the unit is MUCH MORE quiet than the previous unit. I like the size of this unit with its slim body diameter... leaves some room under the sink for other items. We're all happy with the purchase.

Small diameter permits under-sink storage drawers. (The only reason I bought it). The original G.E.unit lasted three years before rusting solid to the outside enclosure. The circuit breaker cut off the power.They don't tell you the cutting turntable is made of CAST IRON. Only the cutting blades are stainless steel. Come on G.E. your better than this. Time for some product improvement!!!

Great for a smaller home/ kitchen. No frills, easy to install and gets the job done. Small in size, so fits easily into almost any area. Includes dishwasher hook-up.
I swear by most of GE's products. All of my home appliances are GE, no problems after four years of use on all new appliances.

Replaced discountinued model. This model quieter but could have used more powerful and quieter model but others would not fit in small kitchen space. I would recommend if larger model would not fit in kitchen.
