This machine replaced a 9 year old Bosch. This is by far the nicest, quietest washing machine I have ever owned. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for and this machine is beautiful and has quality workmanship. The shaking happens when it is on the highest spin, which you don't really need even with towels, so I have never really used it. You won't regret this purchase.

ABOUT A YEAR HAS GONE BY.AND YES YOU CAN USE TIDE HE,OR ALL,HE.NO PROBLEMS WITH EITHER OF THEM.JUST MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE ! A LITTLE BIT IS ALL YOU NEED! DON'T GET ME WRONG,PERSIL,OR ANY OF THE OTHER HENKEL LAUNDRY SOAPS DO WORK REAL WELL.HENKELS PEARLS POWDER IS GREAT IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES,OR PREFER LESS PERFUME SMELL. IT'S JUST THAT THE TIDE AND THE ALL ARE CHEAPER. MACHINE STILL SHAKES ON HIGHEST SPIN SETTING WITH A HEAVY LOAD LIKE TOWELS.TRY ONE SPEED SLOWER ON SPIN CYCLE IT HELPS.OTHER THAN THAT IT'S A TROOPER. CARHART BIB OVERALLS,OSHKOSH BIBS,KING COMFORTERS,WORK JACKETS,PILLOWS,BATHROOM RUGS,WHATEVER,IT HANDLES THEM ALL.YEAH,I KNOW IT'S EXPENSIVE. BUT EVERY OTHER BRAND LOOKED,AND FELT VERY CHEAP AND PLASTICY WHEN I PURCHASED THIS PAIR.I'D BUY MIELE AGAIN.THE MATCHING DRYER IS REALY QUICK !

This washer replaced my 7 yr. old Neptune that was plagued with repair problems. This new washer is the best I have ever used. PROS: 1) It's so quiet, I had to look at it to make sure it was still on. 2) Our clothes have never been cleaner. Washed my husbands shirt with an oil stain and it actually came out (with Persil soap only- no stain removers or bleaching products). 3)The spin cycle is so fast, the clothes actually come out of the washer feeling partially dry. A load of jeans in my old Neptune dryer dries in 50 minutes after the Miele spin. 4) Love the flat top - great amount of space for folding clothes from my dryer 5) Love the window in the front - can see what's going on anytime I want 6) Console tells you where in the wash cycle you are - nice feature 7) Still made in Germany CONS: 1) The sanitize cycle takes almost 2 hours, but heats the water to 170F and cleans beautifully. All other cycles are about 45-50 min. 2) The spin cycle on Max will vibrate - we use High now and it's fine and clothes still come out feeling partially dry. 3) The lights on the console stay lit while washing and stay on until you manually hit the Pause/Hold to Cancel button at the end of the cycle. Not really a big deal unless you use a sanitize cycle at the end of the night and don't throw clothes into the dryer until the morning. Am wondering when that bulb will burn out. 4) Price. Is rather pricey for a washer but Miele has a great reputation for lasting a long time, so in the long run, it all equals out. CAUTION: Tried Tide HE in the smallest quantity and had bubble overload. Switched to Persil and have had no issues. OVERALL: Love this washer. Would highly recommend to anyone. It's fantastic, and I feel totally worth the money. [...]
