BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I love this immersion blender because there is no cord- it blends and chops so quickly- no need to pull out a big mixer or food processor to accomplish many culinary tasks- I love the high tech design- it's easy to clean- I use it to whip up smoothies, milkshakes, chop nuts, make sauces, beat eggs and egg whites, canning tomatoes- If you hold the top button in while grabbing it from behind it so easy to use!

Any immersion blender is an invaluable asset in the kitchen. The Breville cordless hand blender kicks it up a notch by freeing you from the cord. It works extremely well and having both the metal mixing and plastic smoothie shafts is a real convenience.
