The LG LT600P is used in most Kenmore Trio Refrigerators that have the water filter on the outside and begin with model number 795.

Water presure and volume drops of at about 3 months of use even though fridge has 6 month reminder. The GE undersink water filter that we had before filtered twice as much water and was less expensive and produced a better tasting water. Had I known that I would have to pay over $40.00 per three month usage instead to the $24.00 for over 6 month usage I would not have used the LG filter.

We've been using this part in our Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator since we purchased the fridge in 2009. We religiously replace them every 6 months to ensure good water quality. We're pleased with the taste of the water -- just cold, crisp, clean water.

If you do find a much better price on this item from another vendor, read the product description very carefully since many vendors will substitute the cheaper "A" part for this "B" part and not mention it. They are both the same size and shape, and can be used interchangeably. If you've landed on this product review page, you're looking for part 5231JA2006B, which is the higher quality LT600P part. 5231JA2006A is what some other vendors sell. And apparently there is also 5231JA2006F, which is an even newer compatible part number from LG. I don't have any experience with that.

We purchased our LG refrigerator a few years ago and we never had the ice/water feature on the door before. We love it!!! The water is fresh with no chlorine taste and I am glad it is filtering out any other things that make up tap water. The filter is easily changed and takes just a couple of minutes to do. I do wish the filters were not quite so expensive per unit, however. It does last for 6 months so I guess on a per month basis, it is a cost effective tradeoff for bottled water. If it were a bit less it would be absolutely perfect!
