I bought this as a gift for a friend, but wanted to make sure I wasn't giving her a lemon so I tried it out before I wrapped it. The device eventually cooled the wine to the preset temperature, but it took longer than the manual indicated. It was supposed to take 50 minutes and it actually took 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the preset temp of 47 degrees Fahrenheit from room temp of 69. I imagine the wait would be worse in warmer climates. The noise factor might be an issue if you're expecting this to operate in complete silence, but to me it just sounded like a floor fan so it didn't bother me. This device might be more suited for keeping wines chilled rather than chilling them from room temp; but that would depend on how long you want to wait.

The wine chiller looks good, but the cooling fan is noisy and it takes over 1 hour to cool a room temperature bottle of wine to 57-59 degrees.

Great for red wine. Chills the bottle to exact temperature the wine was intended to be served. Only draw back is the noise. The fan is loud.
