I've had this only a few weeks, so can't speak to durability yet, but I'm SO pleased with it on the basis of how quiet it is, smaller footprint in my kitchen, and less wasted space in the fridge that I'm paying to refrigerate.
AWESOME refrigerator!!! buy it.

I LOVE this refrigerator. It's small, but very space efficient, no wasted space. Looks great (very european look), and it's very tall and high. It's only 24 inches wide, AND it does not stick out beyond the countertop and cabinets. Very cool. It's great because the refrigerator is on the top (when will the other makers get this??), and the freezer on the bottom has 3 drawers, easy to access. Again, it's not big...but it's the best refrigerator I've ever had!

This is a wonderful refrigerator for a small space or for one or two people. The refrigerator portion is on the top and it is easy to see what is in there. The space is small and the lighting is good.
The space in the door is well organized. All the shelves can be moved up and down to fit taller items.
The freezer is on the bottom, three drawers. You can't really misplace food in here. There is a separate drawer for the ice cube trays. This drawer is also a place for quick freezing food. You can't put anything very thick in the quick freezer drawer a few inches thick at best. You will not quick freeze a whole chicken but you can quick freeze a package of chicken parts.
The plastic in the fruit and vegetable drawers feels flimsy but I am sure it will be perfect for the purpose.
Again this is an appliance for one or 2 people any more in your household and you will not be happy.
Perfect for smaller kitchens

I LOVE this refrigerator! It is perfect for smaller kitchens and single households. It is only 24 inches wide and is counter-depth, so it fits in places a regular size refrigerator won't. I actually replaced a wall oven and some cabinets with this refrigerator, its footprint is THAT small. The freezer is on the bottom so all the fresh food is at eye level. No more stooping to find anything! The freezer has three drawers so it doesn't lose all its cold air when I take out one item. The refrigerator and freezer have separate temperature controls (as well as a "quick" freeze button), which lets me set the refrigerator to a lower energy setting than the freezer. It is quiet. An alarm lets me know the door is ajar. Though only 10 cubic feet, it holds a week's worth of groceries for a single guy (including beer) quite easily. The only complaint I have is that it did not come with a butter dish. This is perfect for anyone who wants a no-nonsense, dependable refrigerator without all the expensive bells and whistles.

This is our primary refrigerator. It has a very small capacity, 10 cf overall, which is precisely what we were looking for. It is really the only thing out there with this size and with the bottom freezer configuration, and LG did a great job with it. Since the freezer is on the bottom, and it's counter depth, nothing in this fridge gets "lost".
I suspect that this will be used in offices mostly, as most Americans think bigger is better, in terms of the fridge, and most want an icemaker, which this doesn't have. But for couples, singles, apartment dwellers, and anyone who wants something compact, this unit would be perfect. I am 100% happy with our purchase.
The freezer is unusually configured with 3 drawers and a pull-out shallow drawer for ice cube trays. I think this was a brilliant idea; deep stacks of frozen food tend to not get used and are wasted. This way, you can keep the ice cream and treats in one place, veggies in another, etc. Ideally, we could have used a bit less freezer space, and more room for fresh food.
For its size, this unit is not energy efficient, but it still is very low cost to run. You can't do a lot with the shelves, but they work for us. Plus, if you MUST have multiple gallons or quarts of milk, juice, etc, you might want to go with something with more on-door storage. Large items, like watermelon will not fit. Again, it works for this two-person household. The price is great, the styling is nice, and we are extremely pleased with it.
