I bought three of these over a year ago, and I have consistently had problems with static. Since these are running at 5.8 GHz, I don't think I'm getting interference from my home wireless network, but perhaps my neighbors (condos) are causing me a problem. I've gone back to an old school wired phone that I got for $10 at [...] and couldn't be happier.

This phone works for the whole family. It's water proof so there is no worries in the kitchen or bath. It has a huge range & works outside. It has large phone book capabilities.

We were tired of cheap, poor quality cordless phones. This one is heavy (a good thing) and the buttons have great touch. The display is much like a cell phone and gives the impression of quality. The one "con" is that there is a short delay to "connect" with the base when answering calls, giving a "double-hello" effect.

So far so good - have not been able to use outdoors yet - too cold. The range seems a little short and has a slight scatchy reception at a distance (phone base unit at one end the house - using phone at other end).

[...] Almost perfect in every way, but one that is critical -- not headset jack!!! Now there are plenty of waterproof things with headset jacks, so we were crushed when this phone did not have one. Had hoped to use it while gardening, bathing the baby, etc., but -- even with a speakerphone -- it needs that headset option. I'd recommend this phone, but only to people who don't use headsets. Bought this unit after having trouble with my cell and sweating out in the garden:( I accidently left this new unit around my garden work and the sprinklers came on, I only remembered it after it have been "rained" on for while, and voila', it still works as nothing happened. Definetly a keeper.

This is a good phone for the money. Nothing beats having the phone with you in the pool or hot tub, without having to worry about it getting wet. The only drawback is the low sound quality, even at max volume, however I think this happens with all waterproof phones.
