BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
When it is working, it is very efficient. I wish the salesman would have mentioned that ABT does not stock repair parts. We have owned it for one year and already had it repaired twice. The first time we waited one month for the part to come in. We are still waiting for the part on the second repair, which was the result of it not being properly repaired the first time. The price is too high to be inconvenienced this way and not be dependable.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
I just reviewed the Touchtronic washer and many of my comments apply to both the washer and dryer. I will add that I especially like how this dryer can dry well without using high heat (easier on the clothes and less shrinkage) and that it periodically beeps and tumbles after the cycle is complete so the clothes don't wrinkle if I can't get to it right away. I'd buy the washer and dryer again in a heartbeat!
Pros: Quiet, Adjustable Temperature, Works Quickly, Energy Efficient
Best Uses: Shrink Jeans, Towels, Sheets & Mattress Covers, Delicates
