Features:

  • Long Range, Excellent Clarity and Greater Security
Our latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices.
  • Up to 6 Handsets with Just One Phone Jack
You can put handsets all over your house — in your kids' rooms or even in the garage — without all the messy wiring or complicated setup. With our DECT 6.0 expandable phone systems, you don't need a phone jack for each additional handset — just one for the base unit. So start expanding and forget about all your wiring worries.
  • All-Digital Answering System
This phone system is equipped with an all-digital answering system for quick, easy retrieval of crystal-clear messages. Message operation has never been easier, with up to 16 minutes of recording time, plus such features as a pre-recorded outgoing message, remote operation, Tollsaver, and skip-and-repeat. And don't worry about losing your messages when the power goes out — they're stored in flash memory so they're unaffected by power failure or interruptions.
  • Put the Phone Down While You Talk
Having a handsetphone may not seem like such a big deal — until you have to call an automated phone system. By the time you press "2" and return the phone to your ear, you missed half the next option! And when they put you on hold for 10 minutes, do you really need to hold the phone? Not with a handset speakerphone. Just listen along and press a button or pick up when it's convenient. You'll think up other great uses, like letting Grandma and Grandpa listen to their new grandchild at the same time, painting your nails as you talk to your best friend, or just being able to set the phone down while you talk.
  • See Who's Calling, Even If You're Already on the Phone
We've all become accustomed to Caller ID and its ability to let us see who's calling before we answer the phone. But what happens when you're already on the phone and another call comes in on Call Waiting? Until now, you wouldn't know who was beeping in unless you answered it. With Call Waiting Caller ID1, you get the best of both worlds. So now when you get a beep, you can see who's calling before you answer…but we'll leave that decision up to you!

Best Uses: Everyday Use, Outdoors, Home Use
Cons: Menu, Lacks Features, No Message Counter
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Pros: Strong Signal, Wide Range, Battery, Comfortable Handset, Easy To Set Up
Been using the phone for 3 weeks now,and It's a nice phone for the money.Battery life is phenomenal. There are some minor annoyances though.(1)The option to delete the caller id is kind of buried in the menu.To me it takes to long to do this simple task. That said, the menu layout could have been better.(2)As far as I can tell, there isn't anyway to adjust the volume on the headset. As long as the room I'm in is fairly quiet,I don't have a problem hearing the person on the other end..(3)Sparse ringtone options. There are only really a few that are worth using, the rest are kind of annoying.(4)No backlight on the keypad.Thought I would miss it,but it's not that bad.(5)No message counter on answering machine, only the blinking red arrow.Would it been that much more trouble to put a led for the messages. The simple fact that the battery life and sound quality is excellent, would have me recommend this phone to a friend. If this phone was simply the best,I still wouldn't give it 5 stars.I don't believe anything is perfect.

I bought the 4 phone pack and added 2 additional phones for a total 6 phones. They're spread over my home with over 90' between the farthest phones. They all function very well....I'd buy Panasonic again and recomment them to anybody.

I used Panasonic phones for several years. When my last one finally died, I replaced it with a set of GE phones because of the price. I took them back after 2 days because of the poor quality & sound. I went back with Panasonic. They were a little more expensive but well worth it. I don't have anything negative to say about them.
Very clear sounding.

I use the product daily, it is our home phone. The first thing that was noticeable was the clarity of the speaker. I could hear the caller with an almost flawless sound. The comfortable lightweight design makes it a major upgrade from the Panasonic 5.6 GHz I replace.

As a cordless phone, this Panasonic phone was a good choice. I like that the ringers are selectable and the volume can be controlled. I really appreciate the voice mail indicator light. Reviewing Caller ID calls could be a little simpler and it would be nice to have shortcuts to add Caller ID'd numbers directly to the phonebook.

We purchased this cordless phone set based on Consumer Reports recommendation. We needed a phone that would work in our new "old" house with thick walls. This one works great - from the 3rd floor all the way to the basement. We also haven't experienced any interference with our wi-fi network. Handsets are a bit uncomfortable but they are light weight.

Pros: Nice Features, Compact design, Easy To Set Up, Comfortable Handset
Primary use: Personal
Cons: Poor Sound Quality, Weak Signal, Limited Range
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
This phone seems okay until you try to talk....I continue to hear a whining noise and other people hear it as well and have trouble hearing me. I can't figure out how to remedy this. It also barely can receive from the base unit upstairs in my garage apt. I have to be right in one place there to talk or I lose signal.

I love this phone, the best I have ever had. However, I turned the ringer off of our bedroom phone and the answering machine still picks up on that handset. You don't hear the phone ring, but you hear the answering machine pick up and leave a message. Maybe I need to do more research to rid me of that problem, otherwise, great phone!

The ringer can be turned off, but you need to use the menu on the phone and go through several options (no one-touch turn-off mechanism). I love that I can place the phones anywhere (only one phone jack required for main console).
Review of Panasonic Cordless Telephone
By Mr.Mike from Houston, TX on 04/29/2008.
Pros: Good Sound, Easy To Set Up, Handset Speaker a plus, Compact design, Nice alarm feature, Nice Features, Comfortable Handset
Cons: Needs backlight option, Poorly design wall-mount, Weak base speaker volume
How long have you owned it: One-to-three months
Best Uses: Outdoors, Everyday Use
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
I bought these to replace an ATT model which didn't have digital display. They are RF joined so the 3 handunits will run off the base 4-wire telephone connection. An upside is that they will provide receiving comments to help screen callers. The wall-mount is poorly designed and sticks out perpendicular to the wall, in the kitchen. It would be nice to have a backlight feature on a hand-held unit to see the time in the dark. My 14 year-old daughter loves her phone.
very nice, cool.

My wife hated our ancient wireless phones. They were huge, had antennas, were heavy and didn't have a built-in answering machine. One of them had a noisy signal. These new Panasonics are great. They are small, very comfortable against the ear, don't have antennas, the base unit is tiny and houses a good-quality answering machine. They feature selectable ringtones that are very pleasant...even chirping birds. The set I purchased came with three handsets but you can order it alone or with as many as four handsets, expandable to six, I think. Three is plenty so far. The handsets are powered by two standard NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. Finally! Standard batteries. No more searching for oddball and overly expensive replacement batteries. The handsets have headset jacks, but don't come with headsets. They use the standard jack, though, so almost any headset will fit. Entering names and phone numbers into the built-in phone book is easy and fast. No arcane commands. Then you can transmit the whole set of numbers to the remote handsets. The set has an intercom feature for calling phone to phone. One little touch is an LED at the top of the handset that stays lit all the time so you can find the phone in the dark, most likely when it rings at night and you are half asleep. The range is excellent and the signal is very clear. This DECT 6.0 seems to work. They also function as speakerphones, if desired. My wife has told me more than once how much she likes the phones, how compact they are and, most of all, how comfortable they are to use. She says they fit her face better than the old ones. I can tell, because the old phones had makeup all over the keys. Obviously, the old keys stuck out too far and had to be pressed up against the cheek. Not so with these new Panasonics. Normally, she would never comment on electronic gear. She must really like these. It's really difficult making a purchase decision with so many phones on the market. [$] for three phones with this many features that work this well and continuously please the wife is a pretty good deal in my book.

Great phone, good features, hard to use
By Busy Mom from Chicago, IL on 07/18/2007.
Cons: Complicated menu
Best Uses: Conference Calls, Telecommuting
Pros: Large buttons, Nice Features, Attractive Design, Good Sound Quality
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
We had the previous model of this phone and loved it. The quality of this model is just as good, but they have made the menu (to adjust ringer settings, to add phone book entries, etc.) more complicated, with more clicks necessary to set up your preferences. Overall, I would highly recommend this phone.
Love This Phone
By Elise from Riverdale,NY on 05/17/2007.
Best Uses: Home
Pros: Nice Features, Good Sound Quality, Attractive Design, Comfortable Headset
My old answer machine broke, so I decided to replace it along with my land line telephones. This system includes a digital answer machine with three cordless phones for under [$]. The sound is crystal clear while talking as well as listening to your messages. All the handset buttons are large & easy to read. The display is orange with black numbers providing a nice contrast, also easy to read. I was able to change my phone plan after purchasing this phone because it can handle caller ID, call waiting, & call waiting ID. The date & time are always displayed on the handset and you can leave each phone in it's base if you chose & they cannot overcharge. There are many other features; such as viewing your missed calls & storing 49 telephone numbers in memory. The instruction booklet is easy to understand, which I consider very important. I was NOT frustrated learning how to use all these new & unfamilar phone features. Remember, I did not own a cordless phone prior to this purchase. Also, I have a DSL computer line & it has not interfered with my cordless phone use. I have nothing bad to say, I am very happy.
