I ordered this A/C because of the brand and because it fit the small opening that was already put in the wall of my house where a swamp cooler had been. It is a bit small for my intended use, but is a huge improvement during this HOT weather!I was impressed with the PRICE and the fact that shipping/handling was free!! I was suprised at how well this little air conditioner works. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and it seems to cool the whole apartment with any problems. For the price you can't go wrong.

This was purchased for my West facing bedroom/computer room and it works great. The two reviews prior to mine are very well written and it is does produce only a slight amount of noise but not as much as expected for the cost. After a week of 88 to 92 degree muggy weather I'm quite pleased with the job it is doing in this 13'x16' space. Perhaps the ceiling fan helps to distribute the air but regardless, it's working fine and the install was very straightforward. The overload outlet plug supplied is a very nice feature though it's not been needed and my hopes are it won't be. It does not have remote control, which in my opinion allowed more money to go into making a better machine. So far, walking 16' to turn it on and off hasn't hurt me! The filter is directly in front for very easy removal for easy cleaning. My rating is a 4 star as I have not owned it long enough to know how durable it really is.

If you have a small sized window and want a quick fix to your cooling needs, this AC is an excellent choice. You can get quieter and more efficient units than this one, but their size, weight and cost will be much greater. The trade off is a good one and there are many other ACs that are noiser too.
