Not what I was hoping for

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Maytag I had to replace seemed to be sturdier than this one and held a lot more dishes. We have a large household and run the dishwasher every day. This one is hard to load and there is no room for bigger plates and glasses. It looks nice on the outside, but there is a lot of wasted space on the inside.

Pros:	Cleans Well, Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Best Uses:	General Purpose
Cons:	Noisy, Awkward Loading

I would buy this product again

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I was very pleased with its simplicity of design. This provided for a quick and easy intallation. We hired a professional for the job, but I realized I could have done it just as esaily. The panel controls are also simple and intuitive. We are a small family (just my wife and I, for now :) so we just run it every other day. After about a month of ownership, we have no complaints to speak of. In fact, we are very pleased with our choice. Definitely one of the best values out there, all things considered. The only thing in my wish list would be for it to be just a bit quieter. Not a real complaint, thoguh. I have heard a lot worse...

Cleans great, but...

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I was very much looking forward to using my new Maytag dishwasher, as I've been washing dishes by hand for a few years. But...my dinner dishes do not fit in the bottom rack - the washer arm runs into them. It is possible that my dishes are just a little bigger than the average dish (?), but they used to stand upright and fit just fine in the old Whirlpool dishwasher I had. I've been able to work around this by loading them on a bit of an angle. I can't fit as much as I would like when loading in this fashion (thus the "small capacity" con), but at least I can get a halfway decent load in there. I'd give 5 stars if my dishes would fit. This unit cleans well, works fairly fast, and is pretty quiet.

PRECISELY what I needed!

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This dishwasher gets daily use, and does a fine job. The green light that indicates that the load in the dishwasher is clean is a godsend, as we have teenagers who in the past often piled the dirty dishes in on top of the clean.

Difficult configuration

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use this dishwasher every day and while I am satisfied with the cleaning job, it leaves something to be desired in the way of noise control and difficult loading. I replaced my old Maytag dishwasher because of a potential fire recall and expected this one to be quieter because it is eight years newer with new technology. NOT TRUE. This machine is way too loud so you cannot run it if you plan to have any type of conversation in the kitchen. The second problem with the machine is that the racks have too many prongs and don't allow for larger items. I also cannot fit my normal size average dinner plates into this machine without leaning them over on a huge slant. I plan in replacing this machine ASAP.
