Really Like this oven
from Brandon, MS
Had to replace our 19 year old oven recently and ended up selecting this one. I never had a convection before but after speaking with others who did I decided to go with it. My husband installed it (very easy to do) and after a couple of experimental cookings/bakings I really do like the finished product. Pies, cakes rolls and cassaroles all seem to be cooked evenly and thorougly. I like the fact that this oven has a large viewing window and the fact that I can now cook more than one thing at a time because it is a convection oven. I am very pleased with this oven.
This product has many flaws
from Oregon, USA
We cook and bake a LOT. We were forced to replace our previous oven when it died after 16 years. We have used this oven for 5 months. Here are some of our experiences: -- Cookies and bread burn when baked on the top two rack positions (nonconvection) -- Used self-cleaning within first month -- a soiled spot caused the enamel to pop off during cleaning -- At Thanksgiving, we discovered that because of poor oven rack spacing, we can't cook anything else with the turkey--for example, a pan of dressing. -- Takes forever to cool down, even with the door wide open. And while it's cooling, the fan is annoyingly loud -- Control panel buttons are poorly arranged and counter-intuitive. For example, when the timer is beeping at you --continually, which is annoying--and you rush over and hit cancel, you cancel the oven, not the timer. Another example: The cancel button is right next to the oven light button, so we're always accidentally turning off the oven when we want to check whether the food is burning. -- Proofing feature: We bake bread routinely. We needed this feature. Turns out, it's just a short preheat then it's nothing but the oven light. We could have saved money and used the light on an oven without the feature. If the bread needs to rise a long time--whole wheat or rye--the oven light doesn't keep the oven warm enough long enough. We hate this oven. We hate that we spent so much money for an oven we hate. We would never recommend a GE oven to anyone, ever.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
About Me Casual Cook
Only used the oven a couple of times so far but everything turned out good. If you do buy this oven make sure you put the trim piece on the cabinet before you install the oven. because the trim screws in from the top and you cant put it on with the oven in place.
The features met my need

I have been very please with my new oven. It fit into the space of my other oven of 27". This was very important. This was the only oven that met my needs.
Many easy to use features
from New Bern, NC, USA
This is my first convection oven and I love the way my roasts come out. It has many other convient features and fits in well with my other GE appliances.
