As a self install project, this is a great unit. The instructions are simple and easy to follow and the install is simple up until you have to live the unit onto the wall. The only challenge was mounting it to a 3/4 inch granite back splash, but some longer lag bolts and toggle bolts handled the increased width without a problem. The microwave hood has an intuitive touch screen control that learns your most common uses and offers them up. The fan and light controls are separate buttons off to the side of the center touch screen and a numeric pad is off to the other side. It's neat in a techno-gizmo nerdy kind of way. The design is sleek and curved, the unit is well built, and so far it works perfectly well. Since the unit it replaced burned one side of hot pockets and left the other side frozen, this was a welcome change.
