Sony Stereo Slim Black Travel Speaker - SRS-TP1BLK

I use this with my portable Satelite radio - and it is great. It was a little heavier than expected, but that doesn't bother me in the least. I can't speak a lot to the quality of sound, because I am listening to more talk radio than music. It was a great purchase for me.

I needed some portable speakers for my Walkman phone to play music/radio so both myself and my partner could hear it while out on walks. The Sony SRS-TP1 Portable Stereo Speakers seemed just the thing. Good value, neatly packs a way, looks good and a decent name. However, albeit very tinny, my phone speakers actually deliver a louder sound than these Sony ones. I appreciate that the speakers are powered from the mp3 unit/phone itself so I can not expect anything particularly powerful but I was at least expecting it to be louder than my phone! The reason why I decided to keep them in the end, is that they do improve the quality of the sound. Not ideal, but it is not practical to keep buying different types to try out. But they worked straight from the packaging and will never run out of batteries or need to be plugged in so very practical in that respect.
