Good TV for an elderly peson

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

My Mom is elderly and has significant trouble understanding "modern TV controls". This TV is probably a little more than she wanted, but it is simple to operate and does not require re-wiring of her house. The quality of the picture is excellent. She is extremely happy. Therefore, so am I. Someday I may try to teach her about the extra features:)

I use the Tv in the study room and the size is perfect for the room. The NTSC tuner does not get all the channels, but the ATSC tuner makes up for it.

I use it mostly for video games and occasionally watch some TV shows, and the quality on both is pretty good. Gotta love the flat screen, none of that rounded out garbage. For the price, this is one of the best TV's you can grab, and the size is nothing to scoff at.

decent tv for the money

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This is a decent secondary tv for the home. It's easy to set up, and the extra connections so you can set up a game system and your dvd player at the same time are really convenient. When set to dtv, or playing a game or movie, the picture is great...with one small problem. The picture is slightly slanted. You can only really notice this when the picture is widescreen, and even then it's not too bad. If you expect perfection, this is not the tv for you...but if you just want a decent tv to watch in your bedroom, this one is great.

Get ready to enjoy an exceptional value to features ratio in this true flat tube TV. Picture quality is quite good with both my digital cable and DVD player. Set up was easy and the number and type of input jacks excellent. Finally, it is just a very good looking unit.

Analogue/Digital is confusion

The analogue/digital aspect is intimidating and confusing. I still cannot figure out how to record digital on my VCR. Maybe the cable connections are not correct? Analogue is OK.

Great TV with very good picture and sound quality, easy set up and nice design, and also reasonable price. It works without any problem with a simple indoor antenna in my apartment.

Didn't know Haier made TV's

I had not heard of the Haier TV's until I found a review while researching a small TV for a bedroom. I am pleasantly surprised with this TV. It has a great picture. It has component video connections for DVD, Xbox, etc. Also, it has a digital tuner so I won't have to worry about digital reception in 2009.

I love the multiple inputs. I have several gaming systems and it's nice not to have to unplug one of them when I want to use another. The controls are easy to use, the picture is great, and the whole thing just looks nice. If only there were an option to turn off that blue light around the logo...
