I was looking for a sub around $100 and this one fits the bill. It provides enough bass to make it worth it and also has a nice frequency cut-off option. Some might be annoyed by the constant on/off switching due to energy saving mode. This can be disabled.

Great subwoofer for the price. Great power and sound for my stereo and surround sound system for a large room (20'x26') w/ larger speaker system. I am glad I didn't buy the more expensive one because this one does the job for me. The service with this one was excellent at best. Shipping was free and delivery was fast.

This Sony 10" powered sub fit my needs of a cost effective good performer to a tee. With the adjustable volume conrtol as well as the frequency range you can tune this sub quickly and easily to your tastes. It took maybe 3 minutes to setup and connect to my soundbar and looks nice and stylish next to the TV. A must for someone on a budget looking for nice deep bass.

CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE

I payed [$] delivered new in the box. It is a nice sub with good sound. I have found that it works best if you take a minute or to with each movie to adust the sound to get the best output. I am using monster THX cables with it am not getting alot of "boom" as some people complain about. I have a huge open room 16x24 and 18ft ceilings and it does a pretty good job. It is peared with my 60 Sharp Aquos and Sharp sound bar.

All of Sony products are great i use this subwoofer to bring out deep bass 28-200hz that my current 10" pioneer speakers which has a frequency of 40-35,000hz cannot produce.

Good box for the money

I use the 10" Sony sub for all audio that comes out of my Sony STR-DH700. I have no complaints when it comes to sound or quality. Whether it's a movie, the radio, or my iPod, the Sony SAW2500 never misses a beat. This sub is not for every system though. Do not buy if your system requires dual speaker wires or dual RCA to the line-in of the sub. This is a single RCA line-in sub. It does have independent line-in speaker connections for your front surround speakers...just in case you need a little more power for those front speakers.

It seems to sound OK but not super musical. I have a large family room and it's just not enough unless it's all the way up, but it works and that's more than I can say about the Infinity PS 210, that I bought the Sony to replace. And speaking of Infinity, that's a piece of JUNK!!!!

Can't Beat if For The Money

I have a new flat screen TV and, of course, the built-in speakers are too small for good bass. They sounded pretty good for mids and highs, so I decided to start by adding a sub-woofer only. I chose this Sony model and I'm very happy. I have this plugged into the 1/8" audio output of my TV via a $2 adapter [...] This is just what my sound was missing. I get great bass response on music and movies with the speaker volume on about 1.5.I don't need any other external speakers. This was also the best price I found online [...]

Hard to criticize because it's such a good value but the grill looks removable but isn't so be careful. Power management is too aggressive because power relay is loud enough to always be heard otherwise it wouldn't matter. Works very well with Vizio VBS200 soundbar. Very nice subwoofer for very low $$

Great subwoofer for the price

This is a great sub for the price. I am using to in my home theater setup with my STR-DH510 Sony receiver. This sub puts out more bass that can handle, so I have it adjusted down. Sound is fantastic. It really really fills in the bass for general listening and I can feel the rumble during action flicks and PS3 games. Setup is simple. Very attractive, although it is bigger than I expected. I like that it goes into standby mode when it has nothing to do and it kicks on when it detects bass frequencies. I am very glad I bought this subwoofer.

Perfect fit

Bought this to use in conjunction with Vizio vsb 200 soundbar. Compliments very nice. has more power than what is needed for the size of the room being used. A longer rca cable would be nice.

Very good subwoofer for the money, very powerful and the adjusments make it great for fitting it to the listening area. I was suprised I could feel the power at relitively low volume, the "auto on" feature along with the adjustable crossover make this an affordable way to listen to assume home theater. Another great product from Sony!

This is an excellent Sub for the money, unless you are real high tech and have Vulcan ears, you will not be disappointed with normal or above normal home audi or video sound and has adjusments of much higher priced products.

I have had this subwoofer a short time but it has performed very well and was in line with all of the other (good) reviews. This is paired with a Sony 7.1 receiver (also ordered from Abt) using a PS3. Both games and movies sound very good - there is plenty of bass and rumble for a room size which on the smaller size of average (though the sound transmits through out the house so I am not sure a smaller room makes a big difference). For the price this is a great product for the budget minded. Abt had the best price of all the other Sony authorized dealers. I have ordered several products from them and they performed very well. Great overall subwoofer

I use this sub in conjunction with a Vizio sound bar in my living room. The room is 20 by 15 with a very high ceiling. It fills the room with ease and sounds great with movies and music. Good low end response, and being able to tune the crossover is helpful. There is a little bit of a delay in the auto on function but not worth being concerned about. If you are on a budget like I am, and want good bass response from a relatively small unit, this is the one.

I'm using this sub woofer with my visio sound bar and hd satelite receiver. excellent sound, especially with movies and sports programs. I would highly recommend this product, a great product at an excellent price. I especially like the independent volume control and frequency adjustability. I'm very pleased with this product.
