My Grandson asked for an AM FM MP3 CD Clock Radio for Christmas. I checked all the reviews and this Sony AM FM MP3 CD Clock Radio had the highest reviews. It is everything that it was described to be, but most importantly, Grandma did good!

The features are great: 30, 60, 90 minute sets to listen to music as you go to sleep! Two alarm settings on either side to avoid confusion. CD player. I bought the second one as a gift for my sister after she admired it---and she loves it, too.

CD Clock Radio

This product is used to play CDs when I go to bed, to listen to the radio when I exercise, and for the alarm clock. the alarm clock isn't quite loud enough for me. Really like the CD player and the radio. Do like the dual alarms.

I use this radio as my bed side alarm clock. The clock numbers are large and the unit has the basic features I was looking for in an alarm clock. It would be nice if the time set automatically and you could set one alarm for the weekdays and the other for the weekend.

I am very pleased with this clock. It is not the fanciest thing, with what a lot of reviews say, such as no batteries, but you know that when you buy it. I have finally found a clock that I have not returned. Its true that the volume and tuning are not the best designed, but try to find better for the price.

Beautiful Sound

The only thing wrong, and I mean the only thing was that there was no headphone port. I listen to the radio at night while my husband sleeps. I loved the unit as a whole. Beautiful, good size, beautiful sound and great reception. We live in the foothills and sometimes have a hard time tuning stations in.

A true Dream Machine

Very attractive unit, super large easy-to-read-in-the-dark time display, excellent sound. I like to play a cd while falling off to sleep, and I can set the number of minutes for the cd to play so I don't have to think about turning it off. The only negative point is that it doesn't have a backup battery and you have to reset the time if there is a power outage or you move it to a different plug.

like the size, like the features. could have more bass to the sound, especially for the sony name, but it has good sound for what it is. adding the megabass option would be great though. the sound level is comparable between the two functions, so one doesn't find oneself in a panic to turn the volume down when changing from radio to cd, or vice versa

Does not play MP3 CDs directly

This radio/CD unit claims it plays MP3. The missing detail is that it does not play MP3 CDs. It plays MP3 by using the provided cord to attach the radio/CD unit to a MP3 player. It will not play MP3 CDs directly. I ended up getting the Insignia Model NS-CL02. So research carefully before getting this unit if your main purpose is to play MP CDs directly.

I have been using it for weeks now and I have no issues with it. Except for that Sony could thought of adding a battery compartment too. Also, please be aware that this does not play MP3 files. It plays custom created Audio CDs but no MP3s. But it is a worth buy. The speaker sounds very decent and has a nice volume.

I wanted a simple, unobtrusive clock radio that was easy to operate, to use before going to sleep and to wake up by. This machine is very big, with large numerals, and had everything but a kitchen sink.

nice sounding radio with easy to read time. Volume button could have been placed in a better location but this is the only 'negative' thing about the radio, I can live with it. I like the fact I can hook my mp3 player to it and let the music go for hours. Nice looking design, highly recommend this clock radio.
