So, I've long been wanting a good wireless headset that could connect to both my computer and office Blu-ray setup (40-inch Google TV in this case) at the same time. So far, this is the best set I've seen on the market, and while it's close to perfect it has a couple of minor issues that prevent me from giving it five stars. - First, the PROS: - Nicely built, super sleek, yet very comfortable and light, I could wear these for hours. - Stylish charging station, headphones fit on them very elegantly. - Useful lights in the front explaining the signal type (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.) - Good, clear sound with zero hiss whatsoever, which was essential for me. - Clear, obvious right and left ear markers (in red), something more and more headphones are leaving out. - CONS - The base station wakes up automatically when you pick up the headset but the headphones do not, a big miss if you ask me, particularly since the station turns them off automatically when docking. Minor but asking me to turn it on manually each of the thousands of times I'll pick it up when it could do it automatically is a somewhat surprising oversight. - The bass just seems to lack punch. The sales literature says there are huge drivers in the earpieces but they just don't deliver here until you hit too high a volume. Bass is still fairly good mind you, just not utterly crisp like Sennheiser wireless headsets. - Buttons on the headphones, particularly the volume control, are very hard to use once the headset is on. There's a tiny bump next to the volume dial so your fingers can find it, but it's still very hard to change without taking off because it's so recessed. If the latter three points had been addressed, I'd say this headset won't be beat for years, however as it is it's merely very, very good since the manual turn on and volume control are small, constant nags. Can't say much about the surround sound BTW, I just can't hear it myself. Bottom line: Worth the investment unless you're waiting for absolute perfection.

Stay away from this one.I am a long-term customer of Abt's and I've been well-satisfied with all other products that I've bought from the store. Not this time. The sound from the wireless headphone is of a lower quality than the regular, low-cost wired headphones that I had been using. Until I bought these, I did not discover that the wireless headset occasionally emits a scratchy sound.Shortly after buying the headset, they stopped working altogether. When I called the store, I was told to bring them in and the store would replace them. I assumed that meant that they would be replaced that day. After driving some distance to the store, however, I was told that they would have to be sent to Sony. [...] On top of that, I am anticipating the same type scratchy sound. These weren't worth the money or the hassle.

    The Best By Far

    By Ayersco

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

I purchase these in June of 2013. I've had them for two months and have nothing but great things to say about these headphones. I watch TV at night while my wife sleeps and these allow her undisturbed sleep while they are very comfortable for me to wear six to eight hours. They sound incredible, the volume is louder than I ever would listen to music or television. They were simple to install and I have NOT had any problems to date.

        Nothing but Static

        By Qball

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

Permanent static regardless of what I do. I can hear sound but the static is still there. Even if the audio jack is not connected, the static is still there. Seems like it's an issue with the base.

        I'm Hearing Impaired

        By Boku2

        from Bellmore, NY

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

Since my hearing is impaired, anything that helps me amplify sound so I can enjoy time with my family is a treasure. I still need to use closed captions on most movies and TV shows but it's treat to hear the voices and music along with it. It was always just disruptive noise to me before, even with hearing aids. I'm really grateful to be able to share watching movies and TV with my family again. Before I got this I was only able to watch on my computer because it has high end sound card, and I stream movies and TV shows. Being part of my family again is wonderful.

        Good performance for the money

        By Chubb1

        from Oceanside, CA

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

These wireless headphones do a pretty good job of sound quality and comfort. They work well in the immediate area of my living room. They are sensitive to radio frequency noise generators (TV, computer, playstation, etc) and seem to work best line of sight. The only problem I have found is the noise reduction system pumping during extreme low frequency playback (pipe organ 10-20 hz), which you would normally never encounter.

        Sony MDR-RF925RK

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

Sound quality for this unit is poor and the volume control fails to adjust to a reasonable sound level. The headset is oversize and can be obstructive when laying down.

          Great for what I needed!

          By Tekio

          from USA

Comments about Sony Wireless Radio Frequency Headphones:

I'm satisfied with my purchase. They are a bit staticy, but provide a good movie experience. The static is acceptable. If you plan on using these for music, look else-where. I bought these because I live in a condo and hate watching movies with the volume so low. These offered a solution. I have a great movie watching experience, and my neighbors can sleep at night. Wifi at 2.4ghz will cause crackling at times. BUT.... Any rf audio is gonna suffer from this. Not just Sony products. The biggest con is the Sony proprietary form-factor of the battery. Four stars from me.
