Panasonic NNSD767S Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven, Model NNSD767SSExperience the Revolutionary Inverter® Microwave Oven. With Inverter® Microwave Ovens, you’ll have all the power you need to cook with ease, speed, and style. Our Inverter® technology takes advantage of multiple power levels, and it maintains the best colour, shape, texture, and flavours of your food. Delicate foods can simmer without overcooking on edges and surfaces. And, due to consistent delivery of microwave energy, foods will no longer undercook in the centre and have hard overcooked edges. With this technology you’ll enjoy cooking your food – and eating it too! Key Features: - Inverter Turbo Defrost Adds a Little Cooking Boost
Panasonic has succeeded in evolving Turbo Defrost™, which allows you to defrost foods even faster than previous Panasonic Auto Defrost. Panasonic Inverter Turbo Defrost technology is an advanced microwave sequencing system using the Inverter low-power delivery feature. It was developed on the basis of what scientists call "Chaos Theory." This design makes it possible to distribute microwave energy with the most appropriate combination of regularity and irregularity. - Keep Food Warm Until You're Ready to Eat
A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps the temperature of your food at a constant level without overcooking. Our improved keep-warm menu now includes five items, so food like stew, gravy and desserts can stay warm in the oven until you are ready to serve. - Multi-Lingual Menu Action Screen with Function Key
The Menu Action Screen is like having a gourmet chef to assist you in the kitchen. It scrolls step-by-step cooking instructions across the display in a choice of English, Spanish, or French. Our Function Key simplifies the programming of 10 useful, non-cooking functions. Just press the Function Key and the Menu Action Screen will display easy-to-follow steps to complete the desired function. - Reheating and Cooking Made Simple
One-Touch Sensor Cooking adjusts power levels and calculates cooking times automatically, making reheating and cooking a variety of foods easier than ever. - Pop-Out Dial for Convenience
The elegant and attractive pop-out dial is a departure from the standard keypad found on most microwave ovens. - Add Elegance to Your Kitchen
An attractive, reflective door and front panel will look spectacular in just about any kitchen. - Need Another Minute? Use the Quick Minute Feature
Set cooking times in one-minute intervals, or add a minute to a current cooking session. - Enjoy Great-Tasting Popcorn

Definite upgrade from the GE, Sharp and Maytag that I've had previously. The power takes a little getting used to (reheating a cup of coffee requires a bit of finesse at first), but we're adjusting. The Turbo Inverter Defrost feature is a God-send at 5:30 (after work) with a hungry family (for those of us who never remember to take anything out of the freezer in the morning). The presets are a little confusing until you remember them (aka, use them enough times to memorize them), but - overall - I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

This microwave oven replaced an earlier, similar Panasonic oven. Although the new one's wattage is nominally 1250, instead of the old one's 1300, the new one is faster. And we greatly prefer the dial setting over the touchpad on the old one. A great product!

Like everything about this except if I need to just run something for under 30 seconds (like baby food). The time dial jumps quickly up to 25+ seconds. Otherwise, nothing wrong with this microwave

This is a wonderfull microwave. I like the mirror door. The controls are easy to use with a reference code #1 through 18 on the inside that makes it easy to know what automatic power program to use for various food. I find the inverter turbo sensor defrost is great and doesn't partially cook the food as much as other microwaves I've owned. This is great when defrosting frozen food in a hurry.

This microwave was the best fit for our office. It is very easy to use, and really quick to add a minute or two. The best thing about this microwave is that it is made by Panasonic. They have always had great products in their line, and believe me, you will not be let down on this one.

After considering an over-the-range microwave (and the hassle of installing replacements through the years... yes, we had read some not-so-favorable reviews), we chose a countertop model-- if it breaks, we can buy a new one and "install" it ourselves (or use our old one). By our reasoning, the only countertop space that a microwave oven actually wastes is the space in front of the door. The top of the microwave can be usable space for temporarily putting plates and other cooking gear if there's enough clearance beneath the cabinets. Therefore, we were looking for a microwave that was relatively short. The width and depth weren't critical, but a bigger unit could convert more countertop space to microwave oventop space. This Panasonic unit fit the bill perfectly: It's short but wide and deep. This replaced a working Panasonic microwave that we've had for 15+ years. When our gas range died, we decided that it was time to upgrade/modernize our kitchen appliances, and this model caught my eye because of the dial, the sensor, and the "Inverter" technology (I like gadgets). I can't say that the sensor and Inverter technology has made a big impression on me, but frozen meats do defrost more evenly. The magnetron doesn't hum off and on, so I think the Inverter technology is doing what it's supposed to. I don't really trust sensor technology though; through the years, we've developed pretty good instincts for power level and time settings. The dial is a fun alternative to a keypad, but may not be more efficient if you're obsessive about dialing in an exact time every time you cook the same thing (Meaning, you can twirl it to the same general time, plus or minus a few seconds). Fortunately, there's a "Quick Minute" button for simplicity. We're very pleased with this unit-- it does more than we need, looks great, and we have a high level of confidence in the brand. [...]

Excellent microwave.
Does all that is described to be.
I had to purchase one that fit a cabinet space where the old one was. The Panasonic is almost twice the capacity and only a little larger in width and height(it is very deep).
