KitchenAid 14 Cup JavaStudio Series Red Coffee Maker - KCM534ER

We use this every day for ourselves. We use for company and know it always brews a great cup of coffee. It will stay hot for over an hour before it shuts off.

The coffee maker is very well made. The coffee comes out VERY hot, more than I can say for others. You MUST use the gold filter, not filter paper our the grinds will overflow into the coffee as it brews. It makes other coffeemakers look and feel cheesy.

I like everything about this coffee maker. Easy to use.

Pours better than the older model

The brew since timer on my coffee maker I think is off by 30 minutes, it lights up 60 when it's been only 30 minutes or so. Overall I love the coffee maker, it's very well made, looks great on the kitchen counter, brews a whole pot of coffee in less than 10 minutes, I have found even using the gold filter I need to add a little more coffee grounds than normal.

I love their appliances and the durability. I expect to use this a very long time and will definitely come back to Abt for my next need.

I love being able to set it for morning coffee and having it stay hot for 2 hours. The coffee just taste better in the gold filter. Had one like it before this, that's why I chose another one.

nice big pot, 14 cups

Liked the coffee pot over all but, it broke on the second pot of coffee. Had to send it in. Now just waiting.....

We broke the lid on ours too trying to put the hinges on--the rubber seal above the pot came off too-too tight of a fit to slide the pot in and out. The water level indicator on the side would be nice too.

Requires no attention at all. All controls are intuitive. Read the manual once and put it in a drawer

Wonderful product! Hot coffee doesn't burn, has a timer to turn the pot off after a few hours so you don't drink stale coffee.

All-in-all a very good product and I am pleased with it. Brews quickly, it's compact and looks nice. I like the timer to tell you how long the coffee's been sitting in the pot. Is difficult to clean though, especially the reservoir (can't get your hand in it). And the hinge pins on the pot's lid are difficult to get back in place (one broke off after the third time). Plus, there's no scale on the reservoir to tell you how much water you're putting in -- you have to measure it in the pot.

Easy to use and fast

I use it everyday....very fast and easy to use.

This is the best coffee pot ever! I waited a long time to get a Kitchenaid coffee pot and I am glad I did. After having several brands in the past, this one stands alone!! On my counter that is! I own several Kitchenaid products and not disappointed by any that I own.

This Kitchenaid is much less expensive than it's higher end counterparts, so I guess I should not complain too much, but the coffee is just not hot enough. I need to microwave my coffee every morning.

I purchased this coffee maker on a recommendation from a friend who used to own a coffee shop. He recommended KitchenAid since it has the java spray feature that gently showers the coffee for brewing. I read all the reviews about this coffeemaker and was a little concerned about the grinds spraying out as others mentioned. I have not had that issue at all whether I make 3 cups or 12 cups. I encourage you to read the manual since it gives some simple suggestions about making sure the carafe is put back in properly and the grounds are level in the filter. The only criticism I have is that it is not convenient to pour water directly into the coffee maker since you can't read the water line level inside the maker very easily. An external water level indicator would have been a nice feature. So, instead, I get the carafe out (which is a good thing since it forces me to clean it if I haven't done so already), measure the water in the carafe and then pour it into the back left side of the machine. The coffee tastes great. I fresh grind my beans every morning, so I haven't used the timer feature yet, but it's nice knowing I can if I have to get up real early. It fits nicely under my cabinet, looks great with my black and stainless kitchen decor, and makes great, hot coffee quickly. The key to good coffee, per my coffee perfectionist friend, is fast brewing. I'm also going to enjoy the cleaning indicator feature since my friend also tells me its essential to keep the coffee maker clean in order for it to keep working properly (clean out with vinegar and water per the instructions in the book). Enjoy.

We use this product every day and while the unit is easy to clean and brews quickly, the filters don't fit properly, coffee grounds are not only in the pot, but in the cups as well.The coffee does not stay hot either. This product does not live up to expectations. Very disappointed.

We use this daily. On weekends we can make a couple pots a day. I really like the 14 cup feature. There is a light out on the display(came that way).

This is one of the better coffee makers that I have ever used. It was a wonderful gift. Great looking too! Time will tell if it is worth the extra $$ or not. But for now, great coffee in a convenient, attractive and functional package. Coffee is brewed on time every morning and stays hot until time has elapsed on the timer. I like the basket instead of the cone. Nice height for my low cabinet. Although the coffee is not as good as my coffee press, its convenient and easier to deal with and can make a whole lot more at one time. And perhaps the best one can expect from a drip coffee maker.

lg pot, brews quickly, awesome features, tells you how long it has been brewed, durable, sturdy. I'm very pleased w/the red color. Adds class to my kitchen! One more thing, the Java showerhead brews a more evenly brewed pot.

This is a very well made coffee maker.A great cup of coffee from the first cup to the last.

It makes exceptional coffee---we needed more than the standard 10 or 12 cups other makers give---the carafe pours wonderfully, and it is nice to look at.

The coffee pot is great; but, it has a tendency to spill brewing coffee if the pot is not inserted precisely straight-in with the pouring spout centered at the back.

Use: every day all day when at home Great: the color, keeps coffee hot Carafe gets pushed out and water spills all over the counter, to prevent this 2 soup cans have to be placed against the carafe Carafe is difficult to clean

We had this same coffeemaker in a 10 cup version. It was a KitchenAid replacement for a 12-cup one that was recalled. The 10-cup one was never really large enough for our family, so we were glad to see that they now had a 14-cup one. We are very satisfied with it. Controls all make sense and it's easy to set the time and brewing time. The clock display is large, bright and very easy to read from across the room. We previously had a comparably priced Cusinart coffeemaker and this is much better. Their digital clock was almost unreadable without a flashlight! Two things we don't like that much about it are 1) why do all appliance companies think we want the "stainless steel look" anymore? This is their WHITE model...would be better if it were all WHITE??? The finger prints on the stainless steel section do not really add anything to it's appearance and they would not show on the fully white 10-cup model we had.2) It's a bit slower than some coffee makers. Not awful, but noticable slower than several others we have had.Other than those two things, it is really a nice coffee maker. It is certainly more expensive than most coffee makers[...]
