Sharp 46" AQUOS Flat Panel 1080p LCD HDTV In High Gloss Black, Model LC46D64U

Once again, Sharp®, the leader in LCD technology, has established a new design standard for LCD TVs. With screen sizes ranging from 42" to 65"^*1, the AQUOS® D64U Series raises the bar by fitting large screen sizes into incredibly small footprints. By changing the layout of circuits inside the LCD panel and by cutting the number of parts, Sharp's engineers were able to reduce the depth by 30%, allowing placement of the D64U models in virtually any setting. The D64U Series utilizes Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel with multi-pixel technology, providing 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio with Enhanced Picture Contrast Technology and 4ms response time^*2. The D64U Series are HDTVs with built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC tuners and include 3 HDMI™ inputs, compatible with 1080p signals, a PC input and 2 HD component video inputs. Side terminals are included for convenience as well as RS-232C input for control. The D64U Series features a sleek piano black cabinet with subtle, recessed bottom-mounted speakers.

This TV is awesome!!!

The TV set up fast and we were watching it within 15min from taking it out of the box. You need to review the instruction before you plug it in. We have a lot of windows and tons of light in the room and can see the TV from every angle with no problem. The Blacks really stand out and the picture if awesome even on the non HD chanels. I want to buy another one for my basement.

Some image issues on HD using component connections. No obvious resolution in manual. Also, 'seeing some 'jaggies' and a wierd line of image on wide screen HD projections. Will have to call tech support to resolve I suspect.

I absolute love it. It is very easy to setup and comes equipped with numerous inputs for all of your peripherals. For you HD newbies...don't forget to use an HDMI cable.

I would buy this brand again and again!

We put the tv on top of our portable fireplace. We hoped we didn't have to buy the wall mount, and we didn't have to. The tv is very stable on the fireplace, and the picture quality is great with our HD receiver. We wished the stand was a couple inches higher so we could fit our blu-ray and receiver under it, but the tv is not quite tall enough to do that.

Great Television

Cons:	Overly simplistic manual

The TV has a great HD picture. The SD picture is a little less so, but since my source is Comcast, that comment probably is not relevant to the TV itself. Also working with Abt was a very easy experience. Would definitly buy from them again.
