GE Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven - JEB1860SMSS

Great product. Easily installed as a built-in microwave.

We bought this GE SS microwave oven to replace an identical black model we'd purchased 3.5 years ago. We were happy that we could find the identical unit to match both our new stainless steel look and the size of oven with an identical model. (this makes sense if you envision it built-in) We already knew the performance capabilities and were impressed...this unit is just as good.

As a family of 4 with 2 small children, this microwave is very convenient and efficient. It is powerful, heats well and evenly, and does so with relative ease. It's large so you can fit "larger" meals/reheats, and the optional turntable is very helpful. The only minor drawbacks are the "Start" button which is located on the side - mixed in with other buttons, and the large number of "reheat" options are, to me, unnecessary. I'm getting used to using this new microwave and as a creature of habit, I'm sure that these "drawbacks" are inconsequential and will all but disappear with time. Overall, a great microwave and we're completely satisfied.[...]

Goes well with other new GE appliances to make a nice looking kitchen. I hope it helps sell my house!

I replaced a 25-year-old microwave with fear and trepidation, as I think today's products are not nearly as well made. So far this product performs fine--but I've had it only three weeks and cannot comment on its longevity. It is twice as powerful as my old microwave, good size capacity, and easy to use, even though it is more complicated. I selected this microwave partly because it has a "turn off turntable" feature for large dishes that don't have room to turn. It has a timer that works when the microwave isn't on, so functions as a separate kitchen timer. And it has a "reheat" feature that automatically reheats leftovers--sometimes a bit too hot. It also has a volume adjustment for the beep, which I appreciate, as I have turned it to the lowest setting. I tend to not use the automatic cooking features, so don't know how well they work. The only thing missing is that my old microwave had a "keep warm" feature, and this one doesn't. I probably could replicate that with the lowest power but haven't tried it yet.

After owning microwaves for years, I finally read the manual. I still use the microwave mostly for defrosting, reheating and popcorn, etc., but now I have learned to actually cook meals, including tough cuts of beef and pork. This microwave is very good for all purposes and it is a beautiful appliance

We got this for our breakroom it work great. We have about 100 peole using it a day. We just replaced the older model which we have for over 5 years.

There are approximately 50 staff members who use this microwave daily and are very happy with it!

I am in the process of getting ready to return this product. The motor that kicks in after a few seconds is way too loud for a brand new machine I just have not had time yet

Bought it to replace the last GE microwave I owned (similar model) which croaked only after two years after we tried cooking popcorn in it. =b Hopefully, this one will last longer. At least it's a little bit quieter than the last one.

I use the product constantly: cook cereal, use beverage button for instant coffee, defrost frozen food for other type cooking, frozen dinner preparation, bake potato, warm up bread, use reheat button. So far very satisfied with the easy controls. My only problem so far is to figure out how to warm up canned soup (following the instr on can has led to overflow). I was very satisfied with your response to my order. It came promptly, the date promised, and was packaged very well.

This microwave is pretty quiet compare to my last Sharp microwave. So far it is working fairly well, just a bit on the heavy side.

We installed the unit and it was very noisey. We found we needed to put a thin foam between the bottom braket and the unit itself. Now it's quiet as it should be. Use for heating left-overs, and general cooking.

Easy to use and easy to install. With a built-in trim kit, it looks like it was professionally installed.

This is replacing a nearly identical GE JE1860 microwave that failed after owning it for only 18 months. Not covered by Warranty as it was beyond 12 months. [...] If this one lasts, it will work great just like last one.

Pretty much the standard items for stainless steel - looks great, but fingerprints seem to be difficult to clean. It does a great job of heating up food - fast, but a little noisier than some models. Not unbearable, but ... I haven't even used the advanced features yet, but I like the power and, therefore, speed of this thing.

Sensor reheat function is very nice. One button and it lets you know when it's done!

This is a good full size counter top unit. It does pretty much everything you would want in a good microwave. No complaints.

Use it mostly for heating up left-overs. Does a decent job. As is true with almost every microwave, it's difficult to get even heating, even with the turntable going. Best bet is to cover food so that the steam internal to the containers helps warm things up more evenly. Other than that, I like this microwave. My last GE microwave was still going after 13 years - let's hope this one last just as long!
