Our original built-in GE Profile Micro rusted thru the back. When cleaning, the seam from bottom to back on the inside collected food, water, etc and in 4 years rusted completely through! We searched high and low for another built in, not many options out there these days.

I know GE is getting out of the appliance biz, but wanted to use the existing built-in GE frame so we chose GE again even after the previous bad experience.

This microwave so far performs as good as one can expect for a microwave. 2 complaints. The door droops, the hinges were not designed well, so the door leans down. Makes it look unlevel.

Second, after the first GE we had rusted through, they appear to have fixed this flaw by making the interior seamless across the back interior so water & food cant get down there during wipedowns. Except, on this unit, the very front edge was painted which would have sealed the metal lip, but there are tons of little holes in the paint. I'm afraid this one may do the same thing except at the front opening as opposed to the back. Only time will tell.

I was somewhat skeptical about ordering a large item online, not about ABT's reputation, but what shipping would do to the unit.

I have to say I was extremely impressed at how ABT, A) shipped it promptly, B) double boxed & air pillow surrounded the microwave. It arrived in mint condition!

Besides, I shopped around and ABT had the best prices on the unit, plus the best shipping price, way less than what the sales tax alone would have cost me in Texas!

I would not hesitate buying from here again.

Original microwave failed after three years. Purchased new one from Abt, but it arrived not working. Abt sent a replacement the same day I contacted them which was great. No hassle! Second one is working fine. Would not have purchased the GE again if it had not been a part of the built in units in our new home

First one we brought home was not working correctly. When it started cooking or re-heating, the microwave would vibrate excessively and was extremely loud. Brought it back and Abt promptly replaced and even tested the new one before I left. Great customer service from Abt!

Pros: The automatic heating feature is great. Was skeptical at first but it works just as described. Heats food more evenly than previous microwave. Does not seem to dry out food like previous microwave.

Cons: A little noisy.

This product is very easy to use. The sensors on this machine take all of the quess work out of timing your cooking. Very impressed with this microwave.

Manufacturing quality control leaves something to be desired here. Fan motor or blades are our of balance and creates a vibration carried throughout the microwave and on to the countertop. The cover doesn't seem to properly aligned with some noticable gaps. GE needs re-evaluate their quality control programs on this particular unit.
