Product Details

Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless DECT 6.0 Phone System, Model KXTG1032S

Key Features:

  • Long Range, Excellent Clarity and Greater Security
Our latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices
  • Up to 6 Handsets with Just One Phone Jack
You can put handsets all over your house — in your kids' rooms or even in the garage — without all the messy wiring or complicated setup. With our DECT 6.0 expandable phone systems, you don't need a phone jack for each additional handset — just one for the base unit. So start expanding and forget about all your wiring worries
  • All-Digital Answering System
This phone system is equipped with an all-digital answering system for quick, easy retrieval of crystal-clear messages. Message operation has never been easier, with up to 16 minutes of recording time, plus such features as a pre-recorded outgoing message, remote operation, Tollsaver, and skip-and-repeat. And don't worry about losing your messages when the power goes out — they're stored in flash memory so they're unaffected by power failure or interruptions
  • Put the Phone Down While You Talk
Having a handset speakerphone may not seem like such a big deal — until you have to call an automated phone system. By the time you press "2" and return the phone to your ear, you missed half the next option! And when they put you on hold for 10 minutes, do you really need to hold the phone? Not with a handset speakerphone. Just listen along and press a button or pick up when it's convenient. You'll think up other great uses, like letting Grandma and Grandpa listen to their new grandchild at the same time, painting your nails as you talk to your best friend, or just being able to set the phone down while you talk
  • See Who's Calling, Even If You're Already on the Phone
We've all become accustomed to Caller ID and its ability to let us see who's calling before we answer the phone. But what happens when you're already on the phone and another call comes in on Call Waiting? Until now, you wouldn't know who was beeping in unless you answered it. With Call Waiting Caller ID1, you get the best of both worlds. So now when you get a beep, you can see who's calling before you answer…but we'll leave that decision up to you!

Pros: Good Speakerphone, Easy To Set Up, Compact design, Strong Signal, Nice Features
Cons: Handset is Slippery, Limited Range, Produces Static, Poor Sound Quality
Best Uses: Home Use, Everyday Use
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
Using this phone, you will notice that the sound occasionally gets "muffled" and you'll think you've muted the phone even though you can still be heard. Also, you can't get too far from the station or you'll be disconnected. I've also noticed some static. Other than that, the phone has a lot of features (cellphone-like ring tones) and it is affordable.

Best Uses: Everyday Use, Home Use

Pros: Wide Range, Easy To Set Up, Strong Signal
The satellite handset is rather "tippy" in its' cradle. You must be careful not to knock it over. Same applies to primary handset. A better design would be a semi horizontal cradle for both. I glued my primary handset to a placemat
Great, affordable phone/answering system
By Terri from Austin, TX on 08/4/2009.
Pros: Compact design, Comfortable Handset, Easy To Set Up, Good Speakerphone, Good Sound, Nice Features
Best Uses: Home Use, Everyday Use
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
We bought this phone/answering system because our answering machine died and one of our phones had a lot of static. This took care of both problems at a reasonable cost. Everything arrived quickly, exactly as pictured and in perfect condition, except the "Quick Setup", which was not in English. However, the basic setup and many of the features are intuitive and the manual can be referenced for anything else. The speaker is easy to use and has a clear, crisp sound making it easy to identify who is speaking, as well as what they're saying. I don't think anyone else even knew I was using it, so it probably transmits very well. I like the fact that you can add a number to its phone book, then send it to the other phone(s). It would be frustrating to know you entered a number but be at the wrong phone to use it. Messages are easy to retrieve and hear. The only drawback is that after you've listened to it and NOT deleted it, there is no indicator for it remaining. I don't see this as problematic, though. I can't speak to the phone's range or outdoor use. We have a small house and it's been too darn hot to go outside.

I have always like panasonic phones for their durability and longevity. The sound quality, signal reception, battery life are amazing. In this phone, I have found value in the above terms, and being moderately priced, this is one of the best value for money phones in the market for a small family like mine.

By Paso Queen from Pennsylvania on 06/3/2009.
Pros: Compact design, Easy To Set Up
Best Uses: Home Use
Primary use: Personal
Cons: Poor Sound Quality
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
The shape of the handset could be improved - it tends to slip off my ear. And the sound quality isn't great, but that seems to be true of most cordless phone systems. Overall it's reasonable value for the money and so far, works fine.
No more static on the line!
By Static Wary from Chicago, IL on 05/22/2009.
Best Uses: Home Use, Everyday Use, Office Use, Outdoors

Pros: Wide Range, Nice Features, Easy To Set Up, Good Speakerphone, Comfortable Handset, Good Sound, Strong Signal, Compact design
I live in a highrise condo and one of my cordless phones is located in a small home office with a computer that is always on. With the previous cordless phone, there were certain places in the condo where you would get static on those phones (i.e., kitchen, certain areas of the home office, etc.) These new phones eliminated that problem. I can go anywhere and the signal is crystal clear.
I recommend this product.

My mom loves her new phone!
By Allison from Salt Lake City, Ut on 04/23/2009.
Best Uses: Everyday Use, Home Use
Pros: Nice Features, Compact design, Strong Signal, Wide Range, Good Sound, Easy To Set Up, Comfortable Handset
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
I purchased this phone for my mom after being told "I can only talk for a few minutes, my phone is going out" one too many times. Her phone had horrible reception, just to skim the surface - and she paid a lot more than I did for this phone. Since the new phone, she can't believe the difference. I personally love the design, and may get one for myself.
Very, Very happy with this product.

Great telephone and answering machine
By Jake from Poughkeepsie, NY on 04/2/2009.
Best Uses: Everyday Use, Home Use
Cons: Keys not backlight
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Pros: Wide Range, Easy To Set Up, Nice Features, Strong Signal, Compact design, Good Sound, Good Speakerphone, Great answering machine, Comfortable Handset
The phone is easy to use. You can program it so that as soon as you pick up the receiver you can talk without pressing TALK, and it hangs up when you put it back in the cradle. It is also very easy to program new telephone numbers. To check your messages away from home, the answering machime prompts you for whatever action you want -play messages, erase, add a message, etc..You don't need to know what to press by heart. The answering machine is very compact and simmple to use for anyone. The phone has an LED light that is on all the time which makes it very easy to find in the dark. It would be nice if the keys were backlight for night use but that is the only negative point.

Best Uses: Long Talks

I love these phones! The only issues I have, is that the volume doesn't go higher, and that if your ear isn't right in the speaker, it sounds quiet. I think though, that it just takes some getting used to. The phones are nice and light and slim to hold, and good range from the base. No static or cutting in and out. Great overall.

I have used 3 other cordless phone systems, this one is performing the best. It has good features and the quality of the product is good. Too bad it doesn't have a 10 number speed memory dial option.

i thoroughly researched phones before deciding on this one. it's the best phone i've ever had. no complaints at all. perfect reception, can leave off the hook for days...battery hasn't gone down yet. which is why i replaced two other brands of phones! we purchased online with abt...never heard of them so we were a bit leary but our product arrived 2 days after ordering in perfect condition! highly recommend .. the least expensive too. (trust me..i did my homework on finding the least expensive)

Pros: Comfortable Handset, Nice Features, Attractive Design, Good Sound Quality, Durable
Best Uses: Conference Calls, Long Talks

Use it more now that the speaker phone is better than my cell phone. Longer battery life when on phone for hours, load ringers, good reception when walking around home and yard. Its just hard to figure out the miss calls, but getting the hang of it with more time.
Very Happy with this product.

Phone on base unit quit working within a week. We were very disappointed in the product until we took the battery out and then reinstalled it. I must have had a loose connection or something because it has worked great ever since. It is a comfortable phone to use and the sound quality is terrific. The base unit takes up very little space.

How long have you owned it: A month or less
Pros: Good Sound Quality, Attractive Design
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
I bought this phone for my parents who are almost 70 years old. I wanted to provide them with a good quality phone. This phone is certainly that, but it is not the most user friendly phone. The list for caller id, for instance, requires that you access the menu and press two buttons. To adjust the ring volume, you must acces the menu again and press a series of buttons.
So far I am very pleased with this phone

This phone is for my personnel use. I bought it for the range and the battery life. So far I have been very pleased. Further, it is very easy to use. I especially like the feature whereby with one click I could transfer all of the numbers in the phonebook to the other handset. Hopefully, I will not have to buy another phone for a very long time.

I have not used this product all that long, but so far it has been as advertised. I do appreciate the ability to attach a headset/mic as some in my family will talk for extended time. The quality of speaking and listening is good with this device. I am a 'minimalist' so do not use all the features offered. For my needs it is a very satisfactory product.

Pros: Durable, Nice Features, Comfortable Handset, Attractive Design, Good Sound Quality
Best Uses: High Call Volume, Long Talks, Great reception, No static
Cons: Only 24 phone book memory
Primary use: Personal
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
We use the phone for normal calls but frequently on long calls with family 4 states away. Battery life is exceptional and the sound quality is awsome. No more frequency issues with our wireless internet and the microwave. And to think we thought there was nothing we could do about it. I do think it should offer more than 24 listing in its phone book. Also wish it had an led to indicate how many viocemails are on the answering machine.
