Outstanding TOP performer from Sony!

Realizing that I was taking the long-shot by buying virtually the most expensive Blue-Ray player on the market, the question was... Did I get my money's worth? The resounding answer is ABSOLUTELY. This player is VERY well designed, and the operation is flawless. The picture quality is simply unmatched by any system I have ever seen. Upon receipt, I downloaded Sony's latest firmware and mounted it by the instructions without a problem. The firmware sped up a number of features including disc-load time, somewhat neutralizing one of the most common complaints about Blue-Ray players. The design is beautiful and clearly draws attention within my whole home theater setup. I really like the drop down blue door for loading! Can't praise this system highly enough, though I'm sure that now that Blue-Ray has won the high-def war, the prices are likely to drop dramatically over the coming months.... but being a geekhead, I had to have it NOW! Buy it... you won't be sorry!
