Jura-Capresso 565 Infinity Conical Burr Grinder Coffee Grinder, Model 56505

Features:

Heavy duty zinc die-cast housing.
Extremely wide range from Turkish fine to coarse for all kinds of coffee preparation.
Clearly marked fineness settings, 4 each for extra fine, fine, regular and coarse. A total of 16 settings.
Commercial grade solid conical steel burrs with advanced cutting design for high precision grinding.
Gear reduction motor grinds slow with reduced noise and little static build-up.
Slowest grinding speed in its class creates less friction and heat build up preserving maximum aroma and flavor in any grind setting.
Safety lock system.
Upper conical burr removable for easy cleaning.
Tight fitting ground coffee container (holds up to 4 oz. of ground coffee)
See through bean container holds up to 8.8 oz. of beans
Timer can be set to grind from 5 to 60 seconds.
Pulse grinding possible (see under “How Things Work”).

Cleaning brush and measuring scoop included.

How Things Work

The Infinity Burr Grinder will only grind when the black dot on the bean container points to one of the fineness settings. Turn the timer and grinding starts instantly.
Turning the bean container marking (black dot) outside of the fineness settings will stop the grinding immediately. Turning it back to the desired fineness will resume grinding as long as the timer is still running. (Pulse Grinding).
Make sure the bean container is empty before removing it from the base. Otherwise beans will scatter around

Sturdy and easy to clean

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This is perfect for one or two pots of drip-coffee every day. The finest "medium" grind setting is appropriate; the machine holds the setting and the grind is consistent. The best feature is that it's easy to clean the bean chamber and the burrs once a week. I don't use the machine for espresso and don't know how it would do with finer grinds.

Great Grinder!

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

After being disappointed with the inexpensive blade grinders, I gave up and had the coffee shop grind the bag of coffee when I bought. However, flavor suffered after the first four or five days. Also, in our rural area, the grind was not always right, so I had to buy in bulk when we went to Phoenix. All of that has changed with the Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder. I do grind a few days of coffee at a time, since the clean-up takes time - and it really is important to clean it out each time so there is no stale ground coffee around the burrs for the next grinding. Our coffee has never tasted better!

I am most pleased because, among the user info, the comment to touch the housing before removing the ground coffee container to reduce static cling really does just that. This most effective action is because the housing is metal which facilitates grounding after the gind is complete. The unit is also very quiet during the grind. Our previous grinder was noisy enough to wake up my wife in the other end of the house. We are looking forward to an extended use of the grinder into the future.

I'm no expert but after reading reviews of other similar grinders I'm glad I bought the Capresso 565. I like the heavy metal base of this unit which makes the unit stable and quiet compared to many others in this price range. It gets daily use and I have found no "cons" with this product.

Excellent grinder 4 Pavoni espresso mach

We have a Pavoni espresso machine and this grinder makes perfectly consistent grounds with our very oily beans that come from Naples, Italy. Our previous grinder was not a burr grinder so this one is a great improvement.

This is a great grinder. We use it several times a day and our coffee tastes better than ever. We've used cheaper grinders but they grind differently than this one and the coffee wasn't as good. I would encourage anyone who loves coffee to go with a conical burr grinder. And this one is flawless so far.

I had a Cuisinart grinder for about 1 year it was great but then seemed to get louder and louder to use. The motor burnt out and I was determined to get a good one that was quieter. I read the other reviews and agree. I do not have to leave the kitchen when it grinds like the Cuisinart! My dogs don't run away because it bothers their ears! I do have a Cuisinart Coffee maker and this style blends right in with that! So far 2 weeks of coffee grinding and still smooth and quiet! As a retired Marine I need my coffee! This does it!

Very self explanatory. Great and consistent it actually matched my la pavoni europiccolla along with my stainless steel counter top. My wife bought it for me and knowing how picky I am she read all of the reviews. I am very happy with this grinder and I do recommend it. A Wonderful Grinder

I've used the Bodum burr grinder which was great for 3 years when suddenly the plastic top broke off. Wonderful French presses, but a replacement grinder, no way. The Jura-Capresso 565 is a blessing. You can take it apart easily for cleaning, it's much quieter than the Bodum, and the grind is perfect. You won't go wrong with this item.

Fast, easy, and does what it should

A few negatives: The control to determine amount of coffee is difficult for determining a consistent volume. The plastic container into which the coffee is ground may become loose with time and allow coffee to mess up surrounding area. A few positives: Grind is very fast and even. No clogging of grind mechanism. Access to burr grinder is easy to clean

Great Grinder @ at a Great Price

I home roast my own coffee and it is so nice to be able to brew it immediately after the coffee has been just ground in my new Jura-Capresso 565 Infinity Conical Burr Grinder Coffee Grinder. I french press my coffee and this unit does a superb job at grinding consistently and with no static build up in the process that makes the coffee fly out everywhere when you remove the container. This was a common complaint that I saw in reviews of other grinders. This unit is heavy duty and it is heavy in weight due to its mostly metal construction. Great big steel grinders do a excellent job and should last for years. I would highly recommend this grinder! It is definitely a good value and a great performer.

Great flavor and we were surprised how quiet it was. Won't wake the baby! If you use the finest setting like we do, clean it with a brush each grind, or it tends to get clogged... probably the oils from the beans.

A "must have" for great coffee

My husband and I like the highest medium grind setting for our drip coffee maker. However, we've experimented with all settings and get evenly-crushed, perfect grinds every time. Our coffee drinking has been elevated to a new level. This grinder is sturdy and simple. No problems or complaints that would convince me to get something else.

We use this grinder for drip and French press grinds, and we are very happy with it. Our last grinder did not produce an even grind, which is why we looked around for a new one. This grinder has solved our problem. It is also quiet, fairly compact, and nice-looking. We don't make espresso and therefore cannot comment on how it works for grinding espresso. For our uses, however, it is great.
