Comments about Canon Color Image Silver Scanner:

The scanner produces excellent color reproductions. The top-mounted on/off switch along with the top-mounted preference buttons makes for easy operation. One feature that I really appreciate is when I scan two photos together, the scanner automatically produces two separate images in my computer. With previous scanners I've owned, I had to separate the images manually. What a time-saver!

Great at scanning pictures and slides, unlike other scanners I have used. Did not like editing software, used Xara editing software with very good results.

I've had this unit for about a month now and I'm still amazed by it. It is accurate, reasonably fast and the software is very easy to use. I am in the process of copying my 35mm slides, 35mm negs and
2 1/4 medium format negs. It is easily up to the task and I'm enjoying using it. No regrets whatsoever.

Comments about Canon Color Image Silver Scanner:

I bought this to scan our family photos, most of which exist in 35mm color negatives. It does a great job.

My only complaint is that the software is a bit confusing, though to be honest if I'd taken the time to sit and study all the manuals and help files I might be more adept. Even as a complete newbie, though, I managed to figure out how to make it work, after some time-wasting but otherwise innocuous errors.

A few reviews I read mentioned the flimsiness of the film holder - it does feel a bit delicate, but a delicate touch is useful anyway with dealing with film. It was extremely easy to set up, and runs very quietly.

          Service and delivery comments:

          Delivery was fast and trouble-free.

Comments about Canon Color Image Silver Scanner:

I do underwater photography using film. I will never have a photo processor make another cd of the prints. I can scan the negatives at multiple resolutions and then make corrections.

I am planning to scan the boxes of underwater slides I have in storage to share the pictures with others.

Comments about Canon Color Image Silver Scanner:

My family slides from the 50's are on color shifted Anscochrome and Ektachrome. This software does a good job of correcting but you have to spend time. The "one click" option produces "pretty good" results. Time spent making little adjustments improves the images a great deal.
